On this page, you will find a S6 legendary budget Hunter Midrange/Control Naxx Wild deck. It costs 4,040 a total of Arcane Dust to make, and it is called legendary because it utilises any number of required Legendary cards. This deck is designed to help you reach the top of the rankings (and possibly even Legend rank).

1. S6 Legendary Hunter Midrange/Control Naxx Wild Deck

Our deck costs 4,040 Arcane Dust and it is made up of the following cards.

2. Strategy

Despite its name, this Legendary Hunter Midrange/Control deck can be extremely aggressive. The difference with traditional aggressive Hunter decks is that it offers more Hunter synergies and much more reliable late game.

Your early game can and should often be extremely aggressive in order to pressure your opponent, rather than fight for board control. Even if you lose the board, you can easily back into the game with a good Unleash the Hounds combo throughout the mid game.

Webspinner will never cause card disadvantage and is thus a decent early play. Occasionally, the random beast you get from its Deathrattle can have good value and you are likely to create card advantage with it.

Haunted Creeper is a great minion, because it is rather hard to remove in the early turns and because it is a Beast, which means that it will benefit from and offer Beast-related synergies. Keep in mind that the Spectral Spiders created from the Creeper's Deathrattle are not beasts.

Flare will often be a simple filler for your spare Mana and allow you to cycle a card. When playing a mirror match or against any other class with Secrets (Mage, Paladin), you should always consider holding on to it if you suspect your opponent is playing Secrets in their deck, so that you can create card advantage.

Explosive Trap will help you against most aggressive decks, as it can easily wipe the board clean in the early game as well as apply additional pressure on your opponent. Freezing Trap, unlike your other Secrets, has no potential of creating card advantage, but it will slow down your opponent's pressure and can feed Durability to your weapon. With these Secrets in your deck, Mad Scientist is an excellent card, which is why we have included it.

An aggressive start and your Hero Power can bring your opponent extremely low on health and you can easily dominate the board with your Unleash the Hounds combos and powerful minions such as Savannah Highmane.

2.1. Synergies and Combinations

When it comes to card advantage, Hunters rely on the Unleash the Hounds and Starving Buzzard combo.

Houndmaster will make any of your beasts an excellent taunter throughout the mid-late game, as well as boost the aggressive potential of the beast you are buffing.

Hunter's Mark will help you take out your opponent's threats, or it can serve as a great finisher when trying to break through taunters when going for the kill. Hunter's Mark also works well with Unleash the Hounds.

Leeroy Jenkins will spawn 2 Whelps for your opponent, which increases the number of minions they have, and consequently the potential of your Unleash the Hounds, as you will get 2 additional Hounds.

2.2. Mulligan / Starting Hand

You should mulligan for as aggressive a hand as possible, which means it would be prudent to keep your most aggressive cards that will shape your early game.

Generally, Animal Companion will be one of your best early plays, and you should always mulligan any expensive cards away, trying to find one of these cards or one of your other cheap minions.

When playing against minion-heavy aggressive decks, you should attempt to chase Explosive Trap or a Mad Scientist.

2.3. Card Swaps

You should consider including Ironbeak Owl in your deck, as the Silence can often come in handy and help you break through taunters, as well as diminish the board impact of certain minions.

Choosing which cards to replace always depends on the meta game, however you can always consider taking out a Flare, Webspinner, and potentially a Haunted Creeper.
