On this page, you will find a S7 legendary budget Priest Control Wild deck. It costs 5,200 a total of Arcane Dust to make, and it is called legendary because it utilises any number of required Legendary cards. This deck is designed to help you reach the top of the rankings (and possibly even Legend rank).

1. S7 Legendary Priest Control Wild Deck

Our deck costs 5,200 Arcane Dust and it is made up of the following cards.

Priest Cards Neutral Cards

1.1. Mana Curve

2. Strategy

Our Legendary Priest Control Deck offers various means of establishing board control early, and bringing the game to the late stages where your cards excel.

The early game can often be played rather passively, unless you are matched against aggressive decks, in which case you can start pushing towards board control from the very start. Northshire Cleric will often be used for card advantage, however if buffed with Power Word: Shield, the Cleric can provide amazing board presence in the early game.

Wild Pyromancer can easily create card advantage and diminish your opponent's pressure, when its ability is triggered with cheap spells, such as The Coin, Power Word: Shield, or Holy Smite.

Sunfury Protector can be traded in the early game, however in most situations you will use it later in order to benefit from its Battlecry and create defensive value on the board, by turning your Injured Blademaster, Auchenai Soulpriest, Chillwind Yeti, or any other minion into a taunter.

Circle of Healing is extremely powerful, however in order to benefit from it, you will rely on other cards.

  • Injured Blademaster healed with Circle of Healing brings amazing value on the board and will often create card advantage as it is extremely difficult to kill, especially when kept alive with your Hero Power.
  • Northshire Cleric can potentially allow you to cycle Circle of Healing if there is a damaged minion on the board (including on your opponent's side), however in most situations you will attempt to use your Circle of Healing when there are multiple damaged minions and create card advantage.
  • Auchenai Soulpriest brings decent minion value on the board, as well as turning all your healing into damage. This means that your Hero Power can be used to deal damage, Circle of Healing becomes a global 4-damage AoE that can easily wipe out an entire board, while Earthen Ring Farseer's Battlecry deals 3 damage instead of healing, which can easily be used to take out an opposing minion.

Holy Nova provides AoE damage and healing, which will often prove to be essential against minion-heavy aggressive decks as well as present a potential to create card advantage, especially when used to heal minions with Northshire Cleric on the board.

Holy Fire can take out most mid-range minions as well as provide valuable healing. Keep in mind that Holy Fire will damage you if you have Auchenai Soulpriest on the board, and should be used with caution in such cases.

Faceless Manipulator can always copy your finishers or your opponent's biggest threat. You can copy Ragnaros the Firelord and destroy your opponent's Ragnaros with Shadow Word: Death, and put immense pressure on your opponent, turning their own finishers against them.

Cabal Shadow Priest may appear expensive, however it can often create card advantage, especially when used to take control of a minion such as Acolyte of Pain, Bloodmage Thalnos, and many other 2-attack minions that have decent abilities.

Ragnaros the Firelord is an amazing finisher, and it will always make a huge impact on the board. You should always consider the possibility of a Faceless Manipulator + Big Game Hunter combo, and what your possible responses will be if that happens, before it ruins your game (such as having a Shadow Word: Death in your hand).

Ysera will often create card advantage and, if not dealt with immediately, will ruin your opponent's game. Ysera is out of range of most damage-based removal, as well as cards such as Shadow Word: Death and Big Game Hunter, which will often only make it vulnerable to cards such as Hex, Polymorph, Sap, or Assassinate. In case it gets silenced, you can turn it into an amazing taunter with your Sunfury Protector.

2.1. Synergies and Combinations

Northshire Cleric + the healing provided by your Hero Power, Earthen Ring Farseer, Circle of Healing, or Holy Nova will always create card advantage.

Wild Pyromancer + any spell will trigger a 1-damage global AoE that can be used to counter aggressive opponents.

Injured Blademaster + Circle of Healing brings insane value on the board, that can easily create card advantage as well as establish and maintain early board control.

Auchenai Soulpriest + Circle of Healing will often clear the entire board, as it provides a global 4-damage AoE.

Auchenai Soulpriest + Hero Power or Earthen Ring Farseer can be used to take out your opponent's minions as the healing turns into damage.

2.2. Mulligan / Starting Hand

In general you should attempt to keep Circle of Healing, Power Word: Shield, Northshire Cleric, and Injured Blademaster. This means removing any expensive cards as well as all mid-range removal such as Shadow Word: Death and Holy Fire.

Auchenai Soulpriest can be a keeper if you suspect your opponent is playing a minion heavy aggressive deck, and you can aim for a turn 4 board wipe with Circle of Healing, however in any other situation you should mulligan it away.

2.3. Card Swaps

Should you often struggle with the early game, you can potentially include Ancient Watcher and Silence in your deck. Silence can also be used to trigger your Wild Pyromancer's ability, as well as turn Ancient Watcher into an attacker. Once you decide to include Ancient Watchers, you should also consider a Defender of Argus or two in your deck.
