Elemental Shaman DPS Easy Mode — Dragonflight 10.2.6
On this page, we explain how to easily play Elemental Shaman in World of Warcraft — Dragonflight 10.2.6, using the simplest rotation, talent tree, stat priority, gear setup, etc., without sacrificing performance.
Foreword
This section is intended for players who are new to the game or class, have no intentions of raiding Mythic difficulty or simply want a more straightforward way to play their specialization without being overwhelmed by the numerous priorities and active abilities that need to be taken into consideration for optimal play.
The Basics for Elemental Shaman Beginners
Elemental is a specific specialization that can easily adapt to most situations comfortably. The amount of keybinds required to play this specialization effectively is relatively low, making it a great choice for less seasoned players. This section will focus on a setup that minimizes the number of buttons and reactivity necessary without unduly compromising overall damage output.
If you are completely new to Elemental and need more information on your abilities, you can check out our Spell Summary page.
Talent Choice for Elemental Shaman Beginners
These choices are optimized for ease of use. Although some talents offer higher gains when played correctly, these same talents often result in damage losses when utilized by many players. These talents aim to present the best setup without punishment for unfamiliarity or mistakes. Remember that you can use the "Copy Export String" button to import these talents directly into your game!

The following build is not the best possible for any specific situation. However, it tries to be universally "good-enough" while focusing on ease of use, preventing mistakes, and having fewer mechanics and buttons to press. Note that with the new T30 set, there is a lot in common between the Beginner build and the "advanced" optimal build, the big one being adding in Icefury with Electrified Shocks and Surge of Power, which adds a surprising amount of complexity. However, for people who obtained Shaman Elemental 10.2 Class Set 4pc, this build will not perform well, but by that point you should move on to our optimized talent builds.
If you are looking for the absolute best talents for Elemental, which do not compromise on performance for ease of use, you can find a more in-depth analysis on our full talents page below.
Stat Priority for the "Beginner" Elemental Shaman Build
Because this build tries to be "universal," it also does not focus on any particular secondary stats since their value mostly depends on your target number. You should focus on getting the highest item level on every slot over any concern about "wrong secondaries."
