General Information

On this page, we explain what the best statistics are for Mistweaver Monks in World of Warcraft WoD 6.0.3, how the class benefits from each of them.

The statistics priority is important as it influences itemisation choices (gear, enchants, and gems).

The other pages of our Mistweaver Monk guide can be accessed from the table of contents on the right.

6.0.2 Transition Guide

If you want to read all about the Patch 6.0.2 changes and learn how they affect your character, make sure to read our Monk Transition Guide!

1. Basics↑top

The stat priority for a Mistweaver Monk is:

  1. Multistrike;
  2. Critical Strike;
  3. Intellect;
  4. Versatility;
  5. Haste;
  6. Mastery;
  7. Spirit (until you are comfortable with your Mana regeneration).

These statistics have been obtained by combining common sense, in-game testing, and simulations using Simulation Craft.

If you are unsure how to conform your gear to the above priority, you can Ask Mr. Robot for a personalised optimisation of your character's gear, by filling the form below.

2.1. Statistics Explanations

Intellect is your primary stat. You should look for this stat in all of your upgrades. It provides you with Spell Power, which increases the power of your heals.

Multistrike causes your abilities to have a chance to hit/heal a second and a third time, each time dealing 30% of the initial damage/heal. Thanks to Jade Mists Icon Jade Mists, you also have a chance not to trigger the cooldown of Renewing Mist Icon Renewing Mist and Rising Sun Kick Icon Rising Sun Kick, based on your Multistrike chance.

Critical Strike increases your healing throughput, and it increases your Mana regeneration thanks to Mana Tea Icon Mana Tea having a chance to grant an extra stack based on your critical strike chance.

Versatility increases all your damage and healing done, and decreases all damage taken.

Haste is important as well because it lowers the cast time of your heals.

Mastery increases your chance of spawning healing spheres next to raid members (through Mastery: Gift of the Serpent Icon Mastery: Gift of the Serpent).

Spirit increases your Mana regeneration. You should always aim to have items with Spirit until you are comfortable with your Mana regeneration. That said, in the pre-Warlords of Draenor transition period, you should have no Mana issues.
