Arknights Endfield Marker Stone New area

Arknights: Endfield just showed off more of its next update, At the Wake of Spring, and part of that includes a small expansion to the Wuling region.

Nothing huge this time either, but we are getting two new areas again, and they look pretty different from each other!

Marker Stone: A More Artistic Side of Wuling

The first one is called Marker Stone, and it is located on the lower left of Jingyu Valley.

This one still features the usual Wuling vibe with bamboo forests, water, and shrines, but there are some unique additions to it as well. Some parts almost look like they are straight out of an ink painting, and that is not something we have really seen before in Endfield. It gives the whole zone a slightly surreal feeling compared to the rest of the map.

It is easily one of the more visually distinct environments revealed so far, mixing traditional scenery with a more stylized, almost surreal sub-area.

The Test Area

Then, on the opposite side, near Wuling City, there is the Test Area. And this one is basically the complete opposite in terms of atmosphere.

As you can guess from the name itself, this zone feels much more industrial and experimental. It seems like we are entering some sort of large lab surrounded by mountains:

  • You can spot a plant cultivation facility
  • A massive building centered around what looks like a giant tree
  • A lot of different buildings where other things are being tested or explored

It is a bit hard to tell exactly what is going on there yet, but it definitely feels more experimental than anything else in Wuling so far.

A New Outpost

There is also a new outpost coming with the update, called the Cardiac Remediation Station.

The new Outpost is located in the Marker Stone area. This means you can further expand your production scale and strengthen your AIC Factory.

Outside of that, it is pretty much what you would expect! New zones mean more exploration, with chests, puzzles, ore mining sites, collectibles scattered around, and more.

So nothing radically new on that front, but visually at least, this looks like one of the more unique expansions Wuling has had so far.
