Arknights: Endfield May Have Leaked the Next Wuling Expansion

It looks like Wuling is indeed not done yet. Players checking through the Chinese interactive map for Arknights: Endfield noticed something interesting today! It seems like two additional areas branching sideways from Jingyu Valley have appeared there! Those two areas are not accessible in the live version of the game for now.

Within hours, players were already trying to figure out what this meant and what those zones could contain:

  • New outposts
  • Extra sub-PAC locations
  • More Forge of the Sky slots
  • Or just story-only expansions

Some immediately started planning zipline routes and mining chains. Others were scanning the terrain for potential AIC placement. One comment summed the situation up perfectly:

In any other game I’d be excited to explore normally. Right now, all I can think of is how to connect the mining and zipline routes efficiently.”

And it does make sense. After all, the Factory has to keep running, and right now we definitely do not have enough resources in this zone to expand properly in Wuling!

Expansion in 1.1 or 1.2?

There is already speculation about timing as well. Some players believe the Stockade-looking area could arrive in 1.1, with a larger Wuling City-side expansion coming later in 1.2. Others think this might just be map data left over from beta.

What makes this interesting is that Wuling’s story is also not fully over. The Xiranite production arc stopped not long after we got the AIC working, and several in-game “under repair” areas still feel suspiciously unfinished.

If these map sections are real, it suggests Hypergryph is definitely going to expand Wuling before we head to another region.

What Would Players Want?

From the comments, the wishlist is pretty clear:

There is also hope that expansions feel connected, not like isolated “instances” that replace older content. For now, this is not an official announcement. Just a map that maybe showed a little too much.

But if this really is the next step for Wuling, it looks like things are about to get bigger. And if you have already optimized your zipline routes, you might have to rethink everything.
