Arknights: Endfield is only a few hours into launch, and already, we are seeing a major problem with PayPal. Several players have reported that their PayPal accounts have been compromised, with unexpected charges showing up for things they did not buy. This includes Battle Passes, Arsenal Bundles, and even top-up purchases for in-game items.

What You Can Do if You Have Been Charged
It seems like the issue only affects PayPal payments, where saved payment details were being used to make purchases without the owner’s approval. This is, of course, causing a lot of frustration, with players being randomly charged of $200+, even after they tried to make only a small purchase.
If you are one of the affected players, we recommend temporarily using a different payment method to avoid any other problem, or to even avoid buying anything else for now. If you have already been charged, make sure to report it to PayPal and to report it to the Arknight team as well, and keep an eye on your transaction history. We also recommend you remove any payment info saved on your Endfield account for the time being. Better be safe than sorry in this type of situation.
For players on mobile who are using PayPal through their Google Play account, it is also recommended to keep an eye on the transactions. You should not be affected, but it is best to be safe in those situations.
What Is Being Done to Fix It
The Arknights: Endfield team has committed to addressing the issue quickly, with a promise to handle any affected transactions and restore affected players’ purchases. However, given the scale of the problem, you may experience delays. If you lost a lot of money, it might take a few days, if not weeks, for you to get it back.
Some players are asking for 6-star selector compensation, but so far, it is unknown if anything will be gifted to everyone. However, chances are they will give a pretty big compensation for this.
Until the issue is fixed, be safe, Endministrators! Make sure not to use PayPal, and be extremely careful when you purchase anything in the game for the time being.

The Arknights: Endfield team was quick to respond and has already issued refunds for all players affected! This can take up to four hours. If, after that, you did not receive anything, please contact the support at [email protected] with your account server (Asia / NA & EU) and UID, and the support team will assist you!
