With Arknights: Endfield launching on January 22, Hypergryph has shared full pre-download details across all platforms. If you want to jump in as soon as servers open, pre-downloading is strongly recommended, especially given the game’s size.
Pre-downloads go live tomorrow on January 20 at 11:00 AM (UTC+8), giving you two full days to download all required files before launch.
Once pre-download is complete, you will be able to start playing immediately when servers go live.
Supported Platforms and Where to Download
Arknights: Endfield will be available on PC, mobile (Android and iOS), and PlayStation 5. Here is everything you need to know, depending on the platform you want to play on.
- PC
- Official Arknights: Endfield launcher (via the official website)
- Epic Games Store
Both options handle downloads automatically, so you can choose whichever platform you prefer. The official launcher will only be available to download once the game is available for pre-download. If you do not want to have to rely on another launcher, we recommend waiting for the official launcher, and not the Epic Game Store.
- Mobile
- Android: Google Play Store
- iOS: App Store
Keep in mind that after installing on mobile from the store, you will need to open the app once to download the full game data. If you do not do that, the game will not be fully installed when you launch it after the release of the game.
The PlayStation Pre-Download is a bit special. Pre-download is available through the Pre-Order Bundle only for the console, with auto-download starting on January 20. However, the bundle does cost €/$9.99, so if you want the game for free, you will have to wait for the game’s full release.
Make sure auto-download is enabled if you want it to install while the console is in rest mode.
Required Storage Space
Make sure you have enough free space before downloading, since the game is quite heavy. Depending on your platform, you will need the following space:
- PC: ~60 GB
- PS5: ~60 GB (estimated)
- Android: at least 28 GB
- iOS: at least 28 GB
Given the size, mobile players in particular may want to download over Wi-Fi.
If you plan to play on launch day, it is absolutely worth pre-downloading, unless you intend to play on PlayStation. It might not be worth spending money if you are not interested in the Bundle items, so make sure to check it out before buying anything.
Pre-downloading avoids server congestion, long waits, and lets you start immediately when Endfield officially opens.
With just a couple of days left before release, this is the last step before jumping into Talos-II, so get ready!
