Arknights: Endfield ended its latest Special Program with a small surprise, as they teased three upcoming Operators that will arrive in future updates.
For the next patch specifically, only Zhuang Fangyi will be released, and that already stands out a bit since most updates tend to feature more than one new Operator. It also means her banner will be live longer than usual.
But after that, it is unknown if the next Operators will release alone as well, or if that is just an exception. However, what we do know now is who the next 3 characters in line are.
Mi Fu Is Coming as Well
The first teased character is Mi Fu, someone we already recognize from the story.
She is one of the Watchguards of Wuling City, and has helped us multiple times before. She also tends to have some issues with Tangtang, but her past in the groves of Qingbo Stockade is still linked to unresolved events, and it looks like her storyline will eventually bring her face-to-face with an old rival.
So nothing too surprising here, but definitely one that many fans were expecting.
Three Paths, One Warning
Before revealing the remaining characters, the stream shows Mi Fu and Zhuang standing in front of ancient pillars as a path opens, accompanied by a mysterious line:
“Beneath the sunken soil, contrary wills lie dormant. Their paths diverge. Their truths are not one. Rare is a perfect whole. Only when the debt of grace is honored, that the calling is not betrayed. What does it matter, to stand apart?“
After that, two completely new characters are teased, both without names, just fragments of lore.
A Vampire From Seš’qa
The first is a male character described as a Vampire from Seš’qa.
Visually, he stands out immediately, pulling massive crimson wings from his back, giving him a very aggressive and mysterious presence. His description goes like this:
“A hunter bound by his blood’s own curse. The prey he stalks, a kin’s shadow. Once beloved, now lost.“
Not much else is known yet, but his design alone already makes him one of the best reveals from the teaser, and we are definitely saving for this guy!
A Feranmut Proxy
The second character is a female Operator described as a Feranmut Proxy.
She appears to be really interested and curious about the Hongshan Academy of Sciences and the Civilization Band, though her exact role is not clear yet. Her connection to the Endministrator is also being kept deliberately vague for now. She also comes with a specific quote:
“A giant cloaked in the interstices of time. For the protection of bonds, she lifts the seal from the forgotten.”
So clearly, she is linked to something much larger. Of course, all of those new characters will come with their own Operator stories, so prepare yourself not only to play them, but also to learn more about their own stories! And we know how good Endfield’s Operator stories are, so it teases only good things!
Overall, this teaser does not give many concrete details, but it does a good job of setting the tone for what is next. Between a returning story character, a supernatural vampire figure, and a curious Proxy, it looks like the next wave of Operators is going to unravel more secrets about the world.
