The Countdown to Ashes of Creation’s Alpha Two Phase Three Has Begun

The Alpha Two Phase Three of Ashes of Creation is quickly approaching and will officially begin on August 4, 2025! Players across the globe are starting to get excited for another major milestone in the development of Ashes of Creation, and of course, are equally excited to jump back into Verra!

The beginning of Alpha Two Phase Three in Ashes of Creation is the start of a handful of critical updates, including the following:

  • The beginning of 24/7 uptime, with limited downtime for maintenace.
  • Two new playable races, including the elven Py’Rai race and the dwarven Niküa race.
  • A new starting zone to choose from (The Anvils), which includes a total of 8 pocket dungeons, 28 quests, and 15 world events.
  • More NPC interactions in the open world (such as creatures and people interacting with the environment and/or each other). These interactions can also be impacted by the weather.
  • New node development and economy updates, including a rework to gear sets that may lead to additional benefits (such as procs based on where the set originated from).
  • Guild system updates and improvements with adjustments with a new point-spending system with more flexibility and less severe experience curve. Guilds will also eventually introduce item and material storages, with the ability to expand that storage with guild points.
  • A new “crate transportation” system which will introduce new methods of generating gold and PvP interactions.
  • Introduction to “Dynamic Lawless POI’s”, where a key point of interest will turn into a perma-flagged zone, introducing a new method of PvP (and increased rewards and experience within the set area).
  • Major crafting updates which introduce three new tiers of gear within each profession tier.
  • And much, much more.
The Py’Rai and Niküa classes will be available starting on August 4, 2025.

How Will Ashes of Creation’s Alpha Two Phase Three Look Like?

According to the recent Ashes of Creation Development Update, the game itself will function similar to how it was in Alpha Two Phase Two, but with a handful of adjustments to overall graphics, and eventually, much of the equipment within the game.

As you can see from the previewed image shared below, we can expect some MAJOR changes when it comes to the overall stats and set bonuses for gear in Ashes of Creation. One thing that was also noted was that the overall process of getting gear from mobs will likely stay the same as it is. In other words, get ready for some long grind sessions, because gear tends to rarely drop from most mobs!

Please note: This image is labeled “Work in Progress” for a reason! There is a good chance that these numbers and set bonuses are not final and will likely change before being implemented within the game.

As Phase Three continues, there will be a handful of additional updates made that will impact the overall experience of the game (including the bulleted items mentioned above). Additionally, the Summoner archetype will also be launched, but not until later this year (likely in the October or September timeframe).
