The future of Ashes of Creation will include a new, unique twist to PvP known as Dynamic Lawless POIs. This new approach to further incentivize open-world PvP is currently being tested within the PTR, and is planned to be included in Phase Three of the Ashes of Creation Alpha Two.
What Are Dynamic Lawless POIs?
Dynamic Lawless POIs is a new system being tested in Ashes of Creation where a specific Point of Interest (POI) is transformed into an auto-flagged zone, where any player that enters the area is automatically flagged for PvP. Within this specified zone, players will receive bonus experience and luck (enhancing overall loot drops from mobs). Enemies within these lawless PvP locations also will have the chance to drop Lawless Trophies and Lawless Packages, leading to further rewards.
These Dynamic Lawless POIs are planned to start every 3 hours at a random Point of Interest in each biome. Overall, this system is in place to drive further incentive to PvP and add to the many Risk vs Reward systems that already exist within the game today.
What If You Don’t Like to PvP?
If you don’t like to PvP, that’s totally fine. Prior to a specific POI transforming into a lawless zone, there will be an in-game notification that will act as a “heads up”, giving players enough time to either get out, or get to depending on if they want to join in on the PvP. There are enough biomes and POIs around the map that will certainly keep PvE players busy in case they don’t want to participate in these Dynamic Lawless POIs, and these will only be lawless for a few hours, giving players the opportunity to revisit these POIs shortly after in case they don’t want to participate in the PvP.
Please note: These Dynamic Lawless POIs are still very much in development, and there is a good chance that additional updates will be made before this is officially added within the game. Keep this in mind as you begin to explore these Dynamic lawless POIs further!
How to Start Playing Ashes of Creation
If you’re interested in playing Ashes of Creation, then create an account here and visit the “shop” section of the Ashes of Creation website to purchase your key. Upon purchase, you will receive access to play the rest of Alpha Two, along with a key for Beta One and Beta Two.
Additionally, you will receive one month of gameplay for Ashes of Creation upon launch, and $15 worth of embers (in-game marketplace credits). We hope to see you soon in Verra!
