Within the July Development Update, Intrepid Studios shared a bit of a fun surprise regarding an upcoming contest that will be held on the PTR from August 1, 2025 at 2:00 PM ET to August 3, 2025 at 2:59 PM ET. The winner of this contest would be rewarded with an exclusive Shatterclaw mount that will be permanently added to their Ashes of Creation account!
This is one of the first times the team have provided a fun, weekend-long contest that provides a unique reward that could be used long-term once the game is officially released! It’s important to note though that this will be a grind, and this will not be easy if you’re planning on attempting winning this contest.
In order to win this exclusive Shatterclaw mount, you must create a character on the PTR this weekend (starting on August 1, 2025 at 2:00 PM ET), and be the character that has earned the most of one of the following:
- Gold earned
- Adventurer XP gained
- Materials gathered
Additionally, the team will also be awarding this mount to the person that submits the first major bug report for exploits during this testing period (using the /bug function). This must be a legit, game-breaking bug in order to qualify for this award, and you must be the first one to submit it!
As you can see, this will NOT be easy. In total, it looks like there will be a total of 4 mounts awarded this weekend, so it will surely be a grind if you want to try and win this. Additionally, you will want to ensure you have access to the PTR, as this is strictly related to testing Ashes of Creation on the PTR server within this time period.
How to Start Playing Ashes of Creation
If you’re interested in playing Ashes of Creation, then create an account here and visit the “shop” section of the Ashes of Creation website to purchase your key. Upon purchase, you will receive access to play the rest of Alpha Two, along with a key for Beta One and Beta Two.
You’ll also receive access to play on the PTR, allowing you to participate in this contest!
Additionally, you will receive one month of gameplay for Ashes of Creation upon launch, and $15 worth of embers (in-game marketplace credits). We hope to see you soon in Verra!
