Amon players in Borderlands 4 have discovered a pretty big problem. Two of his passive skills, Blackout and Raging Inferno, are bugged. Right now, putting more than one point into them does not change the bonus at all, so extra points are basically wasted.

How the Bug Came Up
It started when EpicNNG flagged the issue on Twitter/X, and other players quickly joined the conversation with the same experience. Some said Blackout’s damage numbers felt way too low, and a few even mentioned respeccing out of it completely.
Other Skills Acting Up
This has also led to a wider thread about other Vault Hunter skills that feel off. Reports include Rafa’s no ammo cost perk not working with some secondary fire modes, Vex’s green-tree stacks running on separate timers instead of refreshing, and drones that never seem to crit. One player even pointed out cooldown reduction effects not triggering as they should.
Community Mood Right Now
Players are understandably annoyed since it is hard to know which skills are worth investing in. Some are already respec’ing earlier than they wanted to, just to get around the problem. A few are brushing it off as launch-week chaos that will be patched soon, but the overall mood is not great.
Gearbox has not commented yet, but most expect a hotfix or patch to land pretty quickly. Until then, if you are running Amon, it is probably safer not to sink extra points into Blackout or Raging Inferno right now.
