Borderlands 4 Update Brings New Buffs!

After last week’s patch, Gearbox has dropped a lighter Borderlands 4 update focused on some gear changes, refreshing weekly content, and addressing a few issues.

This one is not a massive patch, but the team is clearly preparing the game for a much bigger balance change soon, and they promised to change Class Mods, Repkits, Shields, and Firmware, with a specific focus on making melee builds more viable.

If you have been experimenting with underperforming setups or weapon combos, that next update might be the moment you have been waiting for.

Weekly Resets and New Loot Opportunities

As always, your weekly activities have been refreshed:

  • True Boss: Directive-0
  • Weekly Wildcard Mission: Null and Void
    • Legendary Reward: Phantom Flame

Wildcard Missions continue to offer guaranteed Legendary drops, and that is perfect for farming those perfect rolls. Meanwhile, Maurice’s Black Market Vending Machine has been relocated again with a new stock of goodies, and the Big Encore Boss has been changed for a more challenging variant with better rewards.

Buffs for Legendary Gear

This patch also brings a surprising wave of damage buffs to some weapons:

  • Ruby’s Grasp damage increased by 50%
  • Ruby’s Grasp fire rate increased by 25%
  • Bully drone damage increased by 50%
  • Bully base damage increased by 50%
  • Rangefinder base damage increase by 30%
  • Queen’s Rest spawn chance increased from 30% to 50%
  • Queen’s Rest fire rate increased by 50%
  • Seventh Sense orb damage increased by 250%
  • Hellwalker base damage increase 30%
  • Convergence base damage increase by 25%

Now is a great time to take those out of your stash, and see how they perform post-buff.

Pet and Skill Fixes

A few other things were finally addressed, too:

  • Legendary Tediore Shotgun Anarchy was adjusted to properly award Stacks of Mutualism when auto-reloading or killing enemies
  • All Pets from all classes (such as Trouble, Specters, Reapers, and Forgeweapons) now properly gain Critical Hit Chance from Passives and Gear
  • Adjustment made to Vex the Siren’s Bleed to count as Status Effect Damage

These are small but meaningful quality-of-life changes, especially for players who have been theorycrafting pets or DoT-heavy builds.

As mentioned, Gearbox confirmed that next week’s update will be a much bigger one, focusing on stability improvements, performance boosts, and several highly requested quality-of-life changes.

This patch is a bit smaller, but you should definitely prepare yourself for the next one! You can also check the official post here, and keep an eye on our latest news for more updates soon!
