Borderlands 4 Weapons – Too Pretty to Drop, Too Ugly to Use?

Borderlands 4 has only been out for a few days, and already players are clashing over one of the game’s main feature: the guns. Not the stats or the crazy modifiers this time, but the looks. Depending on who you ask, the weapons are either too stylish for their own good or downright eyesores.

You can check out a few funny Reddit posts about it, like this one:

Too Pretty to Leave Behind

For some, the visual design is actually too good. One player joked that every time they find a new gun, they feel guilty leaving it on the floor because it looks like it belongs in Destiny 2 as an exotic. Even common blue or green drops are so nice that players end up hoarding them just for their looks.

Others admitted they are running guns far longer than they should, just because the design feels too nice to swap out.

Ugly Camos Everywhere

On the flip side, not everyone is in love with the over-the-top aesthetics. Another Reddit thread made us laugh when a new player asked if there was any way to remove the “ugly camo skins” plastered on their guns.

The answers were blunt. Flamboyant visuals are part of Borderlands’ DNA. However, if you do want something more traditional, you can stick to manufacturers like Jakobs, or even Dahl for their more clean, military-style designs.

Players also point out that Borderlands 4 showers you with powerful gear way too early. Getting a full loadout of purples before level 10 means most white and green guns never even see use, and that makes the early designs feel wasted. Some players even miss the days when finding a blue drop felt like a real win.

Still, even if the neon camo is not your style, and you prefer the futuristic look of Daedalus rifles, Borderlands 4’s guns are anything but forgettable.

Love them or hate them, they are just as much a part of the series’ chaotic personality as the Vault Hunters themselves.
