This guide is part of our Vault Key Fragment series, and will help you collect all the fragments in The Fadefields zone, so you can claim the rewards hidden inside the Primordial Vaults. You can find more information on the other areas and their Vault Key Fragment locations here:
Coastal Bonescape
The Fadefields’ first Vault Key Fragment is located at a Ripper camp in the south-west corner of the Coastal Bonescape area.
To reach the location, fast travel to the Abandoned Post Safehouse and head southwest along the coastline until you reach the Stillstore Ripper camp. To reach the Vault Key Fragment, stand in the shallow water on the north-west side of the camp and face towards the camp’s buildings. From this position you can find a water-facing porch that is disconnected from the rest of the area, which contains a box with a key fragment sitting on top of it.
The Howl
The second Vault Key Fragment in the region can be found tucked away under a mountain in The Howl.
Start by fast traveling to The Launchpad Faction Town, then head north-northeast towards a small mountain. To access the Vault Key Fragment you should position yourself in front of the northern side of the mountain. When facing the mountain from this side, you should be able to see a hollowed-out area under an overhang, with Kratch potentially guarding it. Inside the area you can find the key fragment hanging from a post.
Idolator’s Noose
The final Vault Key Fragment in The Fadefields is located in Idolator’s Noose under Rosemary’s Reserve.
To get to the final fragment, drive south east of the Someday Rise safehouse and head towards Rosemary’s Reserve. Once you reach the area, find the point of interest pin on the map and face south-east to look for a slightly elevated platform. Stand at the north-eastern side of the platform and look towards it, to find a vent underneath that pull off with your grapple. Head inside the newly-revealed area to go under the platform, where you can retrieve the Vault Key Fragment from the arm of a dead Ripper.
With all three Vault Key Fragments in hand, you can now head for The Fadefields Primordial Vault!
