Multishot Marauder Demon Hunter Speed Farming Variation
On this page, we explain everything that is specific to the Speed Farming variant of Multishot Marauder Demon Hunter. Updated for patch 2.6.8 and Season 20.
The Marauder Multishot Demon Hunter deals with regular Rift farming decently all the way through the highest Torments, making it a viable build for the task. We have speed farming rankings if you want to know more about which builds are best for speed farming.
Within the limited scope of regular difficulties, the necessary damage and toughness to triumph over the enemy is significantly smaller. Thus, your best course of action is to improve utility and speed.

In regular Rift runs, your clear speed will increase to a point where proccing Cull the Weak through Polar Station is too slow in practice, so you can switch to another rune, i.e. Guardian Turret for slightly more protection or Spitfire Turret for a slight increase of burst.
With some gear swaps outlined below, you can safely drop your resource generator in favor of the additional speed of Shadow Power Shadow Glide.
Tactical Advantage and Blood Vengeance are two popular speedfarming passive inclusions, and for good reason — the former bolsters your mobility, while the latter is a dual-resource restoration tool that synergizes greatly with your farming gear swaps.
With a little help from a cubed Ring of Royal Grandeur, you will retain your Marauder 6-piece bonuses and also be able to include the Act 3 cache bounty legendary helmet, Pride's Fall. This allows you to drop your generator skill and save time on the clear. You will additionally replenish resources with the interaction between Avarice Band (also an Act 3 cache legendary), Boon of the Hoarder, and Blood Vengeance.
When doing non-threatening content, it is advisable to swap away from the safe choice of Wraps of Clarity into speedrun-appropriate bracers like Nemesis Bracers or Warzechian Armguards, speeding up your clears with more frequent elites and environment destruction speed boosts respectively.
Since you will be dropping the generator skill (and the Focus and Restraint combo as a result), your other ring slot can be taken either by the consistent damage increase of a Stone of Jordan, or the extra safety of an Elusive Ring. Your amulet of choice becomes the glassy Squirt's Necklace.
To help you with farming the gear you need for your builds, we have two very useful guides that you can access by clicking the links below: a Salvage Guide to help you quickly check whether or not you can safely salvage a piece of gear and a Legendary Farming Guide to help you efficiently farm legendaries and set items.
Your third gem slot in regular Rifts should be taken by Boon of the Hoarder. This high-utility gem feeds you practically infinite gold and gives you a massive short-term speed boost while picking it up, automated by a cubed Avarice Band. It can also render you practically invulnerable if you opt for a cubed Goldwrap.

Adapting Kanai's Cube
During regular Rift farming, your armor Cube slot should be taken by whichever utility bracer you are missing from your equipment — either Nemesis Bracers or Warzechian Armguards. If you truly feel you need the toughness, you can also make the most out of your Boon of the Hoarder and cube a Goldwrap, which makes you practically invulnerable in any type of content that still drops gold.
As previously mentioned, in order to retain your Marauder 6-piece bonus, you will need to cube the Ring of Royal Grandeur in your jewelry slot.
