In PlayFellowship’s most recent livestream on November 3rd, Chief Rebel’s Community Director, Hamish Bode, discussed what players can expect in the near future.
Fellowship is currently in its third week of Early Access, following its release on October 16th, 2025. Fellowship is scheduled to have its first season wipe in mid-December. There is no exact date yet, but the plan is for the wipe to happen sometime before Christmas.
This stream covered several key topics, including matchmaking, seasons and planned updates, quality of life improvements, loot and economy, and support for other platforms and clients.
Matchmaking
When it came to matchmaking, it was stated that this is their top priority. They are currently working on adding a queuing system for Eternal mode. There is no ETA for the queuing system for Eternal yet.
It was mentioned that they are looking into ways to incentivize players to stay in the dungeon they were placed into. Specifically, they mentioned adjusting the difficulties that players are matched into. The plan is to slightly lower the dungeons that players are matched into in order to improve completion rates. In the upcoming patch on November 6th, the matchmaking requirements have been adjusted:
- Increased the minimum item level required to matchmake in Adept to 80 (was 60).
- Increased the minimum item level required to matchmake in Champion to 130 (was 120).
- Increased the minimum item level required to matchmake in Paragon to 190 (was 180).
They are also exploring incentives for queuing as tank, which was discussed as a key priority to improve queue times.
Seasons & Updates
The game is designed to be seasonal, with resets every few months. The first reset is planned for mid-December alongside a major update. It was stated that this upcoming update in mid-December will include potential changes to heroes and their talents. This update will be a wipe, making it a fresh start for all players.
Each new season will have a seasonal reset that includes resetting:
- League progression,
- Gear,
- Materials,
- Gems,
- Rewards Map (including talents and abilities),
- Armor trims.
The seasonal reset won’t affect everything. The things that will persist between seasons and their resets include:
- Mounts,
- Skins,
- All other cosmetics, regardless of how they were earned.
Additional seasonal rewards are in the works, including titles, banners, more skins, and more mounts. Current season rewards from the Rewards Star Map will rotate out next season and be temporarily unobtainable. Hamish Bode stated that any missed mounts will be brought back over time, including the Steam Next Fest’s Ael’dethi Prowler.

Patches for the game are regularly scheduled to be on Thursdays at 7:00am CET. Each patch will vary in size and content.
Loot & Economy
Legendaries are not made to drop equally currently, which means that some legendaries are more rare than others. They are not currently looking at adding a bad-luck protection for certain legendaries, but it’s not off-the-table to look at in the future. The main concern is ensuring that legendaries feel special to receive as a drop. They may consider adding a token that can be traded in for a legendary of your choice in the Rewards Star Map in place of the random legendary gained upon completion of the Paragon league capstone dungeon, the Ransack of Drakheim.

In the patch that went out on October 23rd, a red tint was added to the UI of the Scrapper UI screen. This was a temporary fix to address players accidentally scrapping their gear instead of upgrading it.
There’s currently no way to restore items lost to the Scrapper, and it’s not a priority right now. However, they are interested in adding a way to lock items to prevent them from accidental dismantling.
There are currently no plans to add trading with other players.
Quality of Life & Features
The Fellowship devs at Chief Rebel are looking into improving QOL for the game across the board. In the stream, Hamish Bode mentions that they were looking to expand on the action targeting options. There is currently an option for Sticky Targeting in the game that they are looking for more feedback on. You can submit feedback in-game or in the official Fellowship discord. You can join the Fellowship discord here.

Out-of-range indicators are a possible future addition.
A minimap featured in previous Open Betas is currently not in use. The minimap may make a return in the future, but there is no date planned for its return yet.
Regarding in-game routing options and adding an in-game tool similar to the Mythic Dungeon Tools add-on for WoW, the devs are currently deliberating it. They wish to find a good balance between in-game discovery and these coordination tools. There is no current public API for character gear and stats, but they are currently considering releasing a public API.
They are looking at adding something like upgrade discounts when meeting certain breakpoints on your main character to add ease when gearing up alts.
In-game guilds are confirmed to be coming to Fellowship. Custom chat channels are currently being looked at for potential implementation. It was mentioned that these community features may ease the pains of Eternal matchmaking as it is currently.
Planned Content: Heroes and Game Modes
Two new heroes are currently deep in testing: a healer and a tank. They wish to release these two sooner than later, but there is currently no set date for release. The goal seems to be to release one of these heroes at the mid-December wipe. The devs at Chief Rebel are looking to release more heroes before their 1.0 release.

There are currently no plans for creating any content for less than 4 player parties or for PvP. However, there are plans for a Raid mode and for more 4-player dungeons.
Bug Fixes and Optimization
Work is underway to add Fellowship to Nvidia’s cloud gaming service GeForce NOW. The publishers for Fellowship, Arc Games, met with Nvidia last week regarding this and an update will be coming soon.
There are currently no plans to port the game to Linux or MacOS due to limited dev resources. An in-game microtransaction store is planned, but the devs put it on the backburner as they wished to prioritize more critical game elements. The devs at Chief Rebel are focused on improving the game through bug fixes, quality-of-life updates, user experience optimization, and new content.
Fixing whispers not working across different instances is one of their top priorities.
All Steam Deck and controller support is currently community-driven, but the team hopes to add official support in the future.
What’s Coming Next?
Fellowship’s upcoming update for November 6th brings huge balancing changes to some heroes, an adjustment to matchmaking requirements, UI improvements, and bug fixes. If this patch is any indication of how massive the mid-December season wipe update might be, players have a lot to look forward to!
