Great googly moogly! The newest iteration of the Moogle Treasure Trove event for Final Fantasy XIV has arrived! This time, we’ll be collecting Irregular Tomestones of Aphorism, or just Irregular Tomestones for short. For a quick look to know which rewards are the most valuable, consider checking out this brilliant table.
Starting the hunt
If this is your first time participating in a Moogle Treasure Trove event, seek out the Itinerant Moogle in any of the three starting city-states to grab your Mogpendium.
- Limsa Lominsa Lower Decks (X:9.4 Y:11.6)
- New Gridania (X:12.4 Y:12.1)
- Ul’dah, Steps of Nald (X:9.6 Y:9.1)
The Mogpendium is your best friend for this event as it lists all eligible content that can award Irregular Tomestones upon completion.
Can’t find your Mogpendium? Find it again by navigating through Duty (the red circular exclamation point (!) button) -> Collection -> Mogpendium. Feel free to drag the Mogpendium from the Collection window onto a hotbar for easier access!
Ultimog Challenge
The Ultimog Challenge can only be completed once and is available for the entire event’s duration. As a result, it awards the largest chunk of all tasks of 50 Irregular Tomestones. As such, consider getting this done early on if you’re aiming for a quick Emerald Gwiber Trumpet.
Depending on your task, it could be the perfect excuse to grab some friends and to complete it together. For example, if your task involves Treasure Dungeons, now is the time to try for that Yan Horn to terrorize surprise your tanks!
Minimog Challenges
Each week, new Minimog Challenges become available. Complete one of the two options every week and enjoy a fairly painless 10 Irregular Tomestones!
Newer players and side content skippers might be assigned content they have not yet unlocked. Those challenges will be called ??? and their unlock requirements can be found in the challenge’s Overview.
Remember to check your Mogpendium and Claim Rewards when you’ve finished your task!
Weekly Objectives
The Weekly Objectives, like the Minimog Challenges, are only available the week that they start. However, each player is assigned their own designated task, picked from one of the Standard Objectives. As such, you may not have the same challenge as your friends nor have it unlocked yet.
Even so, these objectives are still great at 20 Irregular Tomestones a week. Just like Minimog Challenges, make sure to Claim Rewards in the Mogpendium to receive more than just the Standard Objective reward!
Standard Objectives
Don’t want to wait for the weekly challenges and objectives? The list of Standard Objectives is available for you to repeatedly grind for all you eager kupos. The choices are varied from certain dungeons, trials, raids, PvP, GATEs in The Golden Saucer, and Ocean Fishing. As for your reward, you’ll receive 1 to 10 Irregular Tomestones based on your choice.
