Spring is in the air, and with it comes another seasonal event for FFXIV. Hatching-tide is back, giving players a chance to earn some stylish, seasonal eyewear and housing items. Here’s everything you need to hop right in.
Quest Location and Rewards
Like other seasonal events, this one requires a minimum level of 15. To get started, head to Old Gridania and go to Mih Khetto’s Amphitheatre. Once there, talk to the Stylish Dreamer (X:10.2 Y:9.4) and accept the quest “Of Weeds and Whimsy.”

Seasonal Minigame and Rewards
After progressing along the quest, you’ll unlock access to the limited time minigame Sprig Cleaning. While you can’t level Reaper with it, you will get a scythe to help you with some weeding. The goal is simple: slice and dice as many weeds as you can before the time limit is up.
To help you across the different stages, you’re given a few different abilities. Your Pruning Pirouette is the standard action to cut down weeds. Roaring Eggscapade is a dash forward that also serves to cut down errant vegetation. And finally, The Spriganator will cut down every weed in a massive area that covers almost the entire stage.
The goal is to chain these abilities as efficiently as you can and aim for a high score. Additionally, hidden eggs will increase your score depending on their type (bronze, silver, and gold). There are also special sprigs for a boost to egg discovery and your Spriganator gauge.

The better your score, the more Special Brilliant Eggs you’ll earn. Take these to the nearby Egg Advocate (X:10.3 Y:9.1) in Old Gridania and exchange them for this year’s rewards:
- Party Eggy Eyeglasses
- Painted Eggy Eyeglasses
- Slim Frame Eggy Eyeglasses
- Spriggan Eyeglasses
- Chicken Eyeglasses
- Blooming Eyeglasses
- Scattered Archon Eggs
- Filled Archon Egg Basket
- Archon Egg Basket
- Hatching-tide MMXXV Advertisement
- Tabletop Hatching-tide MMXXV Advertisement
(In addition, eyewear version of all the eyeglasses above are available).

Sound eggciting? Well don’t wait, the event ends Monday, April 6, 2026 at 7:59 a.m. (PDT).
