Fans of Final Fantasy XIV and Monster Hunter Wilds have a reason to celebrate! A special crossover event is coming later this year, bringing new monsters, hunts, and exclusive content to both games!
Capcom and Yoshi-P have been cooking up something special, not just at pop-up camps, but in Eorzea too! Both games previously collaborated in Monster Hunter World, and this time they are joining forces for even more surprises in Monster Hunter Wilds.
Release Dates
- Monster Hunter Wilds
- The collaboration event will release with Title Update 3
- Expect a ton of exclusive content
- Scheduled for late September 2025
- Final Fantasy XIV
- The collaboration content will be available in early October 2025
- Expect a new hunt, most likely similar to the previous Rathalos hunt
Monster Hunter Wilds: Omega Planetes
The update introduces Omega Planetes, a new monster appearing into the Forbidden Lands, coming straight from Eorzea’s epic Omega raid. Additionally, iconic Final Fantasy series creatures such as Chocobo and Cactuar will appear, alongside other exclusive collaboration content. More details on the update will be shared closer to release.

If we compare to the collaboration with Monster Hunter World, you can expect the following features:
- Ride a Chocobo during the event quest. Since Wilds introduces Seikrets, we might be able to customize them outside the event quest. Or maybe even obtain a permanent Chocobo this time.
- Cactuar appeared as endemic life during the collab with Worlds, so chances are it will be similar here.
- Previous MHW x FFXIV crossovers included crafting level 50 Dragoon artifact gear sets, so something similar might be added as well.
- Enmity mechanics may return, inspired by the World Event Quests in Monster Hunter World. Wilds already has similar mechanics when fighting Jin Dahaad.
- If you want a reminder, you can check out the previous Behemoth collab for World

You can also expect more surprises tied to the collaboration, with the new trailer hinting at additional exclusive content to explore.
Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail – Hunt Down Arkveld
On the Final Fantasy XIV side, you can also expect to be able to join a new hunt! In order to do so, you will need:
- An active character in Final Fantasy XIV.
- Reach level 100.
- Complete the main scenario quest “Dawntrail.”
New players on Preferred or Preferred+ Worlds will receive an experience bonus up to a certain level to help them catch up. To start playing from the latest expansion, you can purchase the Tales of Adventure optional item.
In the collaboration trailer, we got a glimpse of Arkveld appearing in FFXIV, hinting at the cool new hunt awaiting adventurers.

For those who remember the Rathalos hunt in Final Fantasy XIV, you can probably expect something similar as well. This means it will most likely not be like your usual raids, but more like an actual hunting session in Eorzea!
With content coming to MH Wilds in late September and FFXIV in early October, this collaboration is definitely going to be one of the most exciting crossovers of 2025!
Stay tuned as more information will most likely be shared soon.
