Deadset, the very first sentence says: "The purpose of the beginner Barbarian guide is to provide you with a build and item recommendations that will reliably carry you from leveling, through the pre-Torment difficulties and get you into low Torment farming, without requiring specific legendary or set bonuses. The guide also includes a section for Season 7 Barbarians, explaining how best to take advantage of the free set from Haedrig's Gifts." Just a minor fix, but y'know, don't wanna hurt the pride of DHs out there :)

Why not a damage gem in the weapon instead of Emerald increased crit chance?

The Emerald gem is not crit chance, it increases your Critical Hit Damage. It gives more damage than the red gem.

To expand on this, Emerald (Crit Damage) gems simply scale better once you hit levels 60+ (and certainly for max level & endgame) due to the overabundance and high values of critical hit chance stats on gear.

with a cubed obsidian ring of the zodiac you get infinite hatred. by the time you spend out your hatred with chakram your preparation is up again

I'd just like to point out that you can't run Entangling Shot and Impale in the same build.  One requires Melee and the other a Bow.  For the DH Sea9 set you need an Impale build, and thus a dagger and so must run either Grenades or Bolas for your generator.

Impale isn't limited to Melee weapons.

This is true, but as you gear and play, there are far better choices for the ring/cube slot.

But entangling shot is limited to bow builds, which I think was more his point.

Ah, sorry, was concentrating on the wrong part of the comment! Will pass this on to be updated.

Just made an account to say I really appreciate your content.  I took a long break and coming back was made easier and more fun reading your build guides.

So I'm a bit confused, how are you able to have vault, preparation, and companion able to be selected at once?

Turn Elective Mode on in settings. That should allow you to use multiple skills from the same group at once.

Thank you for making such a comprehensive guide! Was wondering what sort of amulet you used for Marauder and Unhallowed Essense? Thanks in advance!

Hellfire Amulet, normally.

Looking at this guide, as it focuses in on Natalya's (the season 12 Haedrig's set), it pushes the Crashing Rain belt as being highly important, and includes it in the list of items to get for Natalya's Rain of Vengeance build. But Crashing Rain is not listed on the page for that build... it's Hellcat Waistguard.

Thanks for letting us know! I passed this onto Deadset, so a fix should be coming soon.

      Hello,
The Sworn is recruiting DPS. We are a Horde guild on Arthas and our current progression is 5/11 Mythic Antorus. We only raid two nights a week, Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:15 PM until 12:15 AM Eastern. Currently, our main goal is to push Mythic progression & finish out the raid before next patch, please keep this in mind if you wish to join us, because we will not be doing Heroic or anything like that.
From you, we would expect 100% attendance during your trial period; after that if you cannot make a raid or will be late it is mandatory to keep the raid leader updated. In order to continue making good progression while raiding only two nights a week, we expect that you know your class inside-out and will research any bosses you are unfamiliar with prior to raids.
As far as classes are concerned, at this time, we do not have ANY rogues, DPS warriors, havoc DH, or wind walkers.
If you are interested, add me to battle tag and we will talk (violentravi#1826), I will accept mostly anyone who wants to be a bench or casual, but for raiding purposes, you must be able to provide logs.
      Thank you for your consideration
      Xoxo

A new season is almost upon us so it's time to take a look at what it will be bringing! Along with a blood teddy bear and pretty great new portrait frame, coming the real reason to roll a new season is the new sets coming with Haedrig's gift, so here's what's coming on February 23rd:
Barbarian – Might of the Earth Crusader – Thorns of the Invoker Demon Hunter – The Shadow’s Mantle Monk – Monkey King’s Garb Necromancer – Grace of Inarius Witch Doctor – Raiment of the Jade Harvester Wizard – Firebird’s Finery
        Season 13 (source)
Season 13 begins soon! For those among you who enjoy the fresh start a Season brings, we wanted to give you a glimpse of what to expect before you race out the gate.

      New Cosmetic Rewards
As per tradition, Season 13 will introduce new cosmetic rewards, obtainable by progressing through the Season Journey.
In addition to the Helm and Shoulders slots of the exclusive Conqueror Set, a brand-new series of portraits themed around Imperius will be available. Those who enjoy collecting pets will also be pleased to see a new arrival—Blaine’s Bear! While traveling together, you may be tempted to ask him why he’s covered in blood, or try removing the sharp objects he carries around. We strongly advise against this.

      Season Journey Rewards
If you’ve been playing the past few Seasons diligently and reached Conqueror in the Season Journey each time, you’ve accrued a few extra stash tabs. Players who have not yet earned a total of four stash tabs via the Season Journey can still unlock an additional one by completing the following tasks at the Conqueror tier:
Complete a Torment XIII Rift in under 5 minutes Complete Greater Rift 60 solo Kill Greed on Torment XIII Kill Cydaea on Torment XIII in under 15 seconds Reforge a Legendary or Set item Augment an Ancient item with a Level 50 or greater Legendary Gem Level three Legendary Gems to 55 Complete two Conquests
      Seasonal Conquests
Speaking of Conquests, we’re rotating those, too! Love going fast? Sprinter and Speed Racer will be making a return. Enjoy testing your mettle in Greater Rifts? Divinity and Lionhearted are also coming back. If you’d rather max out your kill count with Cursed Chests, Curses! and Stars Align will be right up your alley. Those who enjoy seeing how far they can go without Set Items will get a kick out of The Thrill and Super Human. Finally, if you’re keen to show off your mastery of Set Dungeons, Masters of the Universe and Masters of Sets will be available once more.

      Haedrig’s Gift
Finally, just as before, you’ll get a shiny new Class Set courtesy of Haedrig’s Gift for completing certain chapters in the Season Journey. We’ve listed the available Sets below. For those new to Seasons, here’s how it works:
Completing Chapters 2, 3, and 4 of the Season Journey will reward you with three Haedrig’s Gifts. Each Gift contains a few pieces from one of your Class Sets. Players can only unlock one Class Set in this manner per Season across Hardcore and Non-Hardcore, so choose wisely!
The set you will receive depends on the Class of the character you’re playing when you open each Haedrig’s Gift. To collect a full Class Set, you’ll need to open all three on the same character.
Here are the sets granted by Haedrig’s Gift in Season 13:
Barbarian – Might of the Earth Crusader – Thorns of the Invoker Demon Hunter – The Shadow’s Mantle Monk – Monkey King’s Garb Necromancer – Grace of Inarius Witch Doctor – Raiment of the Jade Harvester Wizard – Firebird’s Finery

On January 12, Blizzard temporarily disabled the legendary effect on Bone Ringer. Players that utilized the bug to gain an unfair advantage over other classes recently had their accounts suspended.
It was difficult to track down accounts involved in the exploit, but Blizzard eventually issued account suspensions and removed affected players from the leaderboards on February 9, 2018.
      Blizzard (Source)
      Greetings all,

A couple weeks ago, an exploit was discovered in which Necromancers could receive an unfairly high advantage over other classes. Utilizing this exploit required both implicit knowledge and intention to execute and, as a result, we are issuing account suspensions and removing affected records from the leaderboards.

You may be wondering why we're executing this now rather than when we originally fixed the exploit; the long and short of it is that this was a very complicated issue to track and we are, as always, dedicated to ensuring we are not punishing players who may be innocent.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while we work to maintain as honest and fair a gaming environment as we can.
