You might want to double check the icons used in the talents page; level 13 and level 20 seem to have a few errors.

Level 13 displays the level 10 talents, and Level 20's check / X / ? marks appear to not be congruent with their descriptions.

It appears that the level 1 talent listed in the Quick Reference section (Soul Feast) is different from the talent recommended in the talents section (Block). This may be an error.

Good catch, thanks!

Do you not recommend a tank build with Apocalypse?

Hi,

The quick reference section is only that - a quick reference. If you delve deeper into the guide, you'll note that Apocalypse is situationally recommended as well. Lightning Breath just happens to be foolproof, whereas Apocalypse is not - hence the go-to recommendation.

Hello I just want to share with my opinion, I main Diablo and I want to notice very important think.

I completely disagree with second "weakness" of Diablo :

Actually if you go for Fire Devil at level 4, Diabolical momentum at level 7, Fire Storm at level 13 your wave clearing is VERY good (Most of games i'm in highest score of siege damage) plus if you choose on 16 level Rampage, your single-target damage is significantly higher - meaning decent NOT very low...

Agreed.

Have you tried his extended knock back talent on level 1 since they changed the mechanics behind it? It no longer leaves distance between you and the charged opponent, meaning if you happen to Overpower first and the Shadow Charge, you are putting considerable distance between that enemy and their team. Whether or not it's better than the other options for level 1 I couldn't say, however it has been my pick for that talent tree for a while now and seems to work out so long as I have an escape or take the level 16 talent to reset my cd of Charge after OP. Especially dangerous if I combine all of them with Bolt at 20. Food for thought.

Thanks for the read!

Very good thought. Diablo has been out of meta for quite a while, but I'll be sure to revisit these talents when I get an opportunity to play him in a serious environment. For now, I really can't say.

I think the author or the guide should reconsider preffd maps for DIablo hero, as imho Infernal Shrines is more than average if not the strongest map for him.

Could you go into more detail about why you think so? It helps me to be able to pass on as much information as possible to the writers! :)

Definitely

I'm no pro but here's my build as of December 2016.

1. Bulwark

4. From the Shadows

7. Soul Feast (for sustain) or Soul Shield (for counter mage action); Both are fantastic!

10. Lightning Breath

13. Fire Devil

16. Domination

20. Hellstorm

This style of build is the style of build that I was doing with Diablo before the talent rework.

--Devil's due, still-thinking and experimenting with L4, typically soul feast (but sometimes soul shield if vs double mage), Apocalypse, Fire Devil, Debilitating Flames, and then typically hellgate or Lord of Terror.....

Pre-talent rework (when Ragnaros introduced) I found this style of build a bit tough without another good melee like sonya or thrall, particularly as early-game he was a lot weaker. While I am still playing around with this type of style for diablo, I've found it a lot more viable early-game than it used to be.... though fully acknowledge it doesn't make as much use of his strengths as an initiator. It could also be that I'm playing him a bit too much like I do Johanna, which is by far the strongest tank that I play.

While I'm far from the skill level of the guide writers, I can't shake the gut feeling that this might be viable under particular drafts, but maybe at higher ranks the competence of those on opposing team's kiting/blocking negate this style for diablo's CC/displacement abilities. Any comments on this from those who are more experienced?

Debilitating Flames is a really weak slow, especially for a level 16 talent. Devil's Due is great if you can stay alive and maintain Soul stacks, but Bulwark is foolproof. I don't really like Soul Feast, especially since Devil's Due should keep you topped off when Soul Feast would pay off the most (i.e. out of or between combat) in all cases.

If you get the level 1 lifesteal talent, it synergizes with the other attack speed talent buffs you took later, allowing sustain and damage, it does % damage iirc
