Great guide!
Just a small type here: " Keg Smash Icon Keg Smash has an 8-second cooldown (reduced by Haste), while Blackout Kick Icon Blackout Kick only has a 3-second cooldown (not reduced by Haste). " I think you meant Blackout Strike.

[...] and the Mouseover Keg Smash + Start Attack Macro is not mouseover, but also feels useless as using kegsmash does start autoattack. (would have eddited in previous comment, but I just made my account)

I'm glad you appreciate it!
Yeah that is clearly Blackout Strike, cheers for noticing!

As for the macros I tend to have a blessing of protection cancelaura implemented in that one aswell, but we chose to put it in a separate macro in the guide.

Cheers,

I just started to try my monk in Brewmaster spec and was looking for tips from this great guide, thanks about the effort!

One thing I found confusing is that, for example Blackout Strike is only for two handed melee weapon. So does the Brewmaster only use 2h weapons since 7.0.3.? My monk's gear is so bad, that when the 7.0.3 came it automatically got 2x 1h swords, but I guess he didn't get staff or polearm because it didn't have Brewmaster specced..

Or did I just miss the weapons section in your guide...?

Hello guidemaker,

I think you should edit the guide again as now that Blackoutstrike is effected by haste it should change the rotation a little bit.

This is going to be changed for the Legion guide!

1 handed weapons is no longer a choice for Brewmaster monks.
We havn't mentioned this in the guide, it's going to be updated for the Legion guide!

It seems there is a mistake in the guide. Blackout Strike's cooldown is indeed affected by haste.

The gift of the ox information is extremely outdated. It is not a chance to proc. It procs once you take your (expected) max HP amount of damage after reductions but before stagger. This is a very common misconception about GotO and it doesn't help that a very popular guide site spreads it further.

I am having a really hard time getting behind "Special Delivery". Feels like it never goes off and to trade off something as reliable as "Rushing Jade Wind" seems a bit much. anyone else?

I have it go off often enough. Rushing Jade Wind is very good for AoE and Dungeons, and you should take it in those situations. However, Special Delivery is better in raids, because the singe target damage is much better (if I understood the guide correctly).

Really though, it's hilarious when you drink a brew, the keg goes flying up, you turn around from the mob and walk away, and the Special Delivery finishes him off.

special delivery is consistently top of the chart for source of damage on my brewmaster, and it requires no global cd (unless you count brews). If your drinking as they generate it should be popping non-stop.

Hello!

I was wondering, I've seen several sources claim that you need 30% haste but none of them explain why you want 30. Why am I not stacking it as high as I can? What is special about the 30% breakpoint?

Just the point of KS+Brew CDR & Energy Regen that results in the best rotational smoothing.

What makes Fortification a better first pick than Brew-Stache?  I was looking on WoWHead's guide and it kind of seems like Brew-Stache would be better first since Fortifying Brew is used so little compared to how much Brew-Stache will be up and active. It seems way better early game. Thoughts? Because I'm close to picking my friend dragon and I want to know the direction to take :C

Generally speaking, like healing, your sustained throughput is less important than planning cooldowns to survive through the most lethal cruxes of an encounter. This guide is mostly targeted at raiders and overall Fortification is probably the best and safest choice for early Mythic progression. As noted in the guide, however, this is only one interpretation of a build and many tanks can and will choose to build differently to complement their respective playstyles or preferences.

This makes total sense, thanks a bunch! I feel better about picking Fortification, I'm in a progressive mythic guild so thank you very  much!

Hi I've been working on this taunt macro this evening and wanted to share it with you all.

#showtooltip Provoke
/use [nomod,@mouseover,harm,nodead][nomod] Provoke
/tar [mod:alt] Black Ox Statue
/use [mod:alt] Provoke
/targetlasttarget [mod:alt]
/click [mod:shift] TotemFrameTotem1 RightButton

What it does with no modifier pressed

- Attempts to taunt your mouseover if they are harmful and alive.

- If neither of those are met, it attempts the same on your primary target.

- If that is not tauntable (friendly) then it returns 'Invalid Target', as intended.

What it does with alt modifier

- Assuming the black ox statue is active, it targets the statue and taunts that.

- It then returns to your last target you had (this is instant and so you'll never notice the target changing).

What it does with shift modifier

- Dismisses the statue,

Hey there! I'm not quite versed enough in Brewmaster to give you a 100% sure answer, but I believe Haste over 30% rests under Mastery.

For trinkets, you will most likely be looking for ones that have secondary stats on them, rather than Agility, unless there is a HUGE on use or proc benefit.

There is plenty of leather gear with Haste.

Where are you seeing no Haste gear? The dungeons drop a huge amount, regardless of difficulty. World Quests too.

Patch 7.2 added several new Warlock Pet glyphs and we're looking at how to get them!
      Glyph of the Shadow Succubus
There's a succubus standing near Tehd Shoemaker. She's called Syaith. If you're a scribe and /kiss her, you'll get Technique: Glyph of the Shadow Succubus. The trick is she only appears during the World Quest "Where There is a Whip...". You don't need to have Broken Shore World Quests unlocked to get it according to many reports from redditors that were able to find her.

      Credits go to redditor Sonotmethen
Here are some tips from redditors!
Comment from discussion Scribs can get Glyph of the Shadow Succubus for free today!. It seems you don't even need to be max level or have Inscription maxed out to get the pattern. Comment from discussion Scribs can get Glyph of the Shadow Succubus for free today!. Glyph of the Fel Succubus
Technique: Glyph of the Fel Succubus seems to be a random drop from Cathedral of Eternal Night.
The current version of the Fel Succubus is bugged (thanks to @Plaguestorm for pointing out), which results in a much weaker version of the regular Succubus pet in terms of damage output. It's advised not to use it until the issues get hotfixed.
Comment from discussion Protip: Glyph of Shadow Succubus is obtainable right now..
      Glyph of Wrathguard
Technique: Glyph of Wrathguard can be purchased from the Armies of Legionfall Quartermaster Warmage Kath'leen for 2,500 Nethershards.

A lot of players look back fondly on the days of Vanilla, but what if we were too look back even further, let's say into the Nintendo Entertainment System era, and see what the game would be like then? Rkade Soup went ahead and made that alternate reality possible, perhaps with the help of Kairoz, and shared this great 8 bit re-imagining.
