The upkeep as well.

This isn't the case, just put my 22nd point into it and it only increases the initial damage.

Hey,

the stat priority says  agi>mastery>haste>crit>versa. Why are there so much +crit items in the BiS list? Was just wondering.

Gear in Emerald Nightmare is VERY limited. To get the Mastery needed, you have to take whatever you can find. There are better pieces from Mythic+ dungeons, sure, but as it stands currently, this is the best gear available from the raid instance.

I think what they mean is, because we are able to basically directly switch targets without loss of dps due to ramp up time, we are able to burst down targets quickly. And for "average burst" if you look at other classes burst damage, i.e. mages, hunters, etc., their burst is significantly higher than ours. You see them in the 300k-400k range whereas we are more around 150k-200k.

What does burst mean for you in this?

I am currently around 848 ilvl and my initial burst with cooldowns is (Depending on proccs) around 300k-400k (400k only if super lucky). But my damage (with average proccluck) is around 220k..So ofc we are not top of the line dmg but the numbers seem a little low.

Not sure why nobody has mentioned that as far as I saw but I always feel like enhancer is highly procc dependant. If the fight starts with lust, orcracial, doomhammer and wolves and I get TONS of proccs feels like 100k difference to when I get 0 proccs.

Despite listing your Ilvl, where are your haste and mastery stats at ? I personally downgraded some of my pieces(from 850 to 847) to get more haste (6k) and more mastery (9k) and it feels a lot better. Averaging 240k atm even though i still have to get "rid" of 1500 combined crit + versa for more haste/mastery.

Anyway it is no mystery that with all the stats in the world if we dont get procs we dont do decent damage...

Any perticular reason to go for potion of deadly grace over say, potion of the old war? This seems strange to me especially because in order to get the most out of the deadly grace potion you need to stay away from your target? We obviously don't tend to do that.

I am confused as to why Matted Fur Pauldrons are BiS over Throny Bramblemail Pauldrons.

From common sense, I'd say this is an oversight and agree with you. There might be some reason we are missing here. I will double check it and see. Thanks for pointing it out!

Not sure on this. Will double check it, it might be due to stat weights that were updated but this item was missed in the BiS.

Hi, just wanted to say thanks for this guide. I've mained many classes over the years, but this was my first time wanting to raid on an enchancement shaman. This was one of the main guides that helped me build the framework of my rotation and stat priorities.

I'm starting to wonder a bit with the stat priorities at certain ilvl. A few have mentioned it already including the guide creator on the importance of haste and diminishing returns, but I've ran into a small problem. My main issue is keeping my haste rating around 60-65% of my mastery rating. I've noticed from my own testing that higher haste feels better and if you are under 20% haste even with the right ratios to mastery. Procs are god awful imo. It starts to get much more fluid at 25% haste and honestly it becomes fun to me at 30% haste. I've tried prioritizing Mastery and can get my mastery at around 53% with the correct haste rating for it, but it just doesn't proc enough. I ended up dropping my mastery down about 6% to up my haste around the same % of mastery lost and man did my dps/procs sky rocket.  I could just be getting that short end of the stick with unlucky rng though.  /shrugs

Simulationcraft says my dps is much higher with my current gear focusing the 53% Mastery and this can be true depending on procs, but when it comes to overall sustained numbers on longer fights. Haste is picking up the slack for me.  I'm basing this off 6 minute 30 second single target fights on the raid dummy. I chose 6 minutes for 3 three sets of cooldown phases and an average boss kill time for raids.

I'm ilvl 844 currently.

P.S- Our guild downed the first 4 bosses in Emerald Dream last night. Normal mode seems a bit easy. Can't wait for heroic/mythic versions.

Hi there!

fluid

The use of this word happens pretty often and people quickly forget what it actually means in terms of the game. If you take a look at Feral Druid currently, it is in the top 3 strongest DPS specs in the game. It does crazy high damage, but there is such a strange playstyle to it. You spend half your time waiting and doing nothing, rather than using the energy you have to simply use an ability. It's like sitting in a sports car and, rather than gradually increasing your speed, you slam your foot down, then take it off for a few seconds, then slam it down again. It's very stop/start and doesn't feel fluid at all, but it is AMAZING at doing damage. It definitely doesn't feel like it though.

For this, I'm definitely not trying to be rude here, but do you not think this could be due to you simply making errors? The fact that simcraft says you would do more DPS as mastery is generally pretty reliable. Could you post a log of your tests on the dummies so that we can see exactly what is going on? It makes it a lot easier for us!

Thanks for your comment and look forward to seeing the logs! :D

Thank you for this super helpful guide!

I have a question about ancestral swiftness and its effect on stat priority. Do we still want to maintain a 60-65% haste to mastery ratio if ancestral swiftness is talented, or should we increase the amount of mastery to take advantage of the 10% increase to haste?

Old War was buffed and is a much better potion for all melee now.

The rating is really all that matters, though I would recommend ignoring the Haste ration and just focusing on Mastery for now (while gearing etc,).

What is your question here? If you have 2 procs of Stormbringer and your hailstorm is about to expire, which should you use?

You should always make sure Hailstorm is up.

Hey,

I was wondering if the "rotation" changes a bit when I saw the Dommhammer talent Gathering Storms, making my next Stormstrike dealing 10% more damage after I cast Crash Lightning. Is there any scenario where I want to cast CL before SS ? If for example my SS cooldown is under 4 or less seconds ?

(Thanks, and sorry for my approximate english)

Quick question here. When you say i my haste is supposed to be 60% of my mastery, do you mean that my mastery is lets say 5k, and my haste is then supposed to be 3k or that my mastery is 50% and my haste 30%?

Hi guys :)

Let me first say, awesome webpage, and thank you for putting your time in it, so we can all benefit from it <3

This is me: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/bladefist/Hipstar/simple  ( I know, to osom xmog)

Me and my guildy are discussing what you mean in here excactly, so when we pass 17% haste which is the soft cap right? Should we just stop getting haste and focus more on mastery? How can my haste then be 60% of my mastery if that is correct.

Im around 180-190k dps single target bosses, that sounds low compared to some other guys in here with same ilvl score. I think I have the rotation right, but is my mastery/haste way off or what.

Again, thx for the awesome webpage!

/Hipstar

Are you using Crashing Storm, the recommended talent? If yes, you won't need to change anything.  The rotation already accounts for it.

I've asked Furty to look into this, since recent sims suggest that there is a possibility the ratio no longer exists/is required. I will update you as soon as I can. It would advise keeping any Mastery gear you have for the time being, just until I give a response.

I'm having a very hard time figuring out trinkets. Simcraft & mr robot say contradictory things. Some questions:

1) does the brutal haymaker total damage show up in skada/recount, or only the initial burst and is the vulnerability counted under 'attack'?

2) Is horn of valor actually worth it? 30s/2min for the stat gives quite a poor average increase.

3) is the six-feathered fan really worth the farm?

4) when are raw stats better than a dmg proc?

Tagging @wordup to answer this, since I'm not really qualified to do so.

Blizzard have clarified why players are able to get a full Spark of Awakening through the two available Splinters in the first week of Dragonflight Season 4, and it seems it's only for this week and only due to catch-up rules being enabled!
      Splintered Spark (Source)
Just want to confirm this with some details.
Everyone essentially started Season 4 in catch-up mode. Players were able to get 1 Splintered Spark of Awakening from the weekly quest, whether that’s the weekly “Last Hurrah” quest or the PvP weeklies offered by Malicia.
And then you’re able to get another splinter / half-spark from any valid catch-up sources, such as Mythic+, Awakened Raids, and PvP wins.
Next week and thereafter, only one Splintered Spark is obtainable every week. And like Seasons 2 and 3, with the increasing cap on Splintered Sparks per week, and if you ever fall behind you will be able to get Splintered Sparks from any catch-up source.

It seems there may be an easier way to obtain the Tusks of Mannoroth appearance during the Mists of Pandaria Remix event!
The tusks are one of the rarest transmogs in the game currently, even with the recently added Siege of Orgrimmar skip, as their drop rates are VERY low (0.1-0.3%, reportedly). As spotted by MrGM, the new Tusks of Mannoroth are a cosmetic appearance item added in the new limited time event. Now, some have suggested they may just be purchasable from the Bronze vendor (the currency that will drop off of pretty much anything in the event), making them pretty easy to get, but it seems there might be a different way to get them.
It's unclear whether the cosmetic will actually be purchasable or if it will drop somewhere else, but another interesting Mannoroth-related item was added as well, the Bones of Mannoroth, which may be related to the cosmetic.

As you can see the bones are a stackable resource you gain from killing Garrosh, and it's looking like they're a way to guarantee the Tusk appearance with enough kills! Just how many drop is unclear, but assuming you need all 20 for the appearance and that Normal drops 1, Heroic 2 and Mythic 3 bones, it may take at least 7 weeks to get them. Now the number required might be/is likely to be lower than the 20  stack maximum, and we may get more bones per kill.
But even at 7 weeks it's much, much easier to get than the current "hope for 0.3%" in retail, so it's still a pretty good deal! This may or may not upset players that farmed for the tusks for a long time the regular way, but there's a whole lot players that will be thrilled!
The Remix: Mists of Pandaria event starts on May 16th and should last until August 19th.

If you plan on buying the physical War Within Collector's Edition and live in Europe, you're going to have a bad time!
Blizzard has ceased distributing WoW Collector's Editions through retailers with the release of Dragonflight, making the Blizzard Store the only place to buy them. However, the shipping costs could be a dealbreaker for many collectors eager to acquire the latest edition for the upcoming expansion.
Reddit user katamai from Serbia posted a screenshot of their order, revealing that the shipping fees exceed the cost of the box itself—280 Euros for shipping compared to 200 Euros for the box, totaling 480 Euros.

Additionally, Emi, a follower on our Facebook page, reported a shipping cost of 99 Euros to Romania, nearly ten times what it costs to ship to the UK.

A practical workaround might be to order the Collector's Edition to a UK address and then use a shipping service to forward it to your address in Europe, potentially saving a considerable amount of money.
How much does it cost to ship the box to your country?
