I haven't been seeing anything similar. If you could pastebin the profile I'd take a look, but I have yet to see a profile that doesn't weight Mastery unless you are extremely close to a small breakpoint beak that over-values it for some particular reason.

from what youve seen so far would you say the priority is still mas-vers-haste or has it changed to mas-haste-vers?

I would assume Mas > Vers > Haste, since that's the priority listed in the guide.

I see some variance depending on gear that can, in some cases, swing it to Mast > Haste > Vers, but those tend to be in weighted gear scenarios. The weights I work with are usually normalised to 4500~ per stat to give equal footing for players in regular gear. Further than that it's generally best to sim your own char and see how much the different gear affects weights and act accordingly.

A lot of false information being spread in the comment section here. Here are some facts regarding stats.

How much haste do I need?

It is not currently advised to build for haste to the exclusion of mastery. There exists a haste breakpoint of significant DPS increase @ 20% haste, however it is very difficult to itemize for, and the lost mastery if you don’t get to the haste breakpoint will hurt your DPS significantly.

Furthermore, the 20% haste breakpoint is based on getting a 5th GCD into Battle Cry, which is effected by lag. Therefore, the breakpoint may actually closer to 23-25% haste, depending on your latency.

What is my stat priority?

Mastery > Strength > Versatility > Crit, with haste either being ahead of Mastery, or ahead of Versatility, depending on how close to the 20% haste breakpoint you are.

Wait, haste over versatility?

Yep. Here’s a chart giving some explanation as to why

I can't really give an answer for this. It's likely that they did 1 sim, took that result and posted it as the best stat priority.

I'll take a look through some plots over the weekend and see, as I have been seeing the trend to haste a bit recently. I'll try and get the main page updated in the next couple of days to reflect that, thanks for giving the heads up :)

hey fellas, today done a HoV mythic eventho I changed my lootspec at odyn to get the trinket called gift of radiance, and I have a question for you! Which trinket now I should use? I have an ilvl 835 str+mastery WQ trinket, Gift of Radiance ilvl840, Natures Call ilvl 850 and Terrorbound nexus ilvl840, I used the last two and managed like 300k dps to hold on bosses like ursoc. Best in slot section suggests the wq mastery trinket, but I'm a bit sceptic since I saw noone equipping those trinkets?!

The best way to figure this out with varying item levels will be SimCraft for sure. Simply sim each trinket combo to see which works best!

Question regarding the Artifact relic trait. I know item level is what essentially matters. However should we ultimately be aiming to have 3 relics all with the same trait or 1 of each?

How are u guys handling rotation now? For me stacking FR x 3 seems like a bit wrong to go with... Any suggestions on how rotation should go, whether to use Slam or completely ignoring it?

Hello,

In execute phase -20%. Say you have the shattered defense buff up and + 40 rage, do you prio execute over mortal strike ? Because of the extra dmge if you consume up to 30 more rage with execute, at this point execute should hit harder then CS.

Also if so does this countnfor both normal build and FR build?

The guide clearly states this:

  1. Cast Mortal Strike Icon Mortal Strike (regardless of Focused Rage Icon Focused Rage stacks) above 20%.

I do know that, but with MS on cd rage should be spent on slam?

If you can find 3 relics that all have the highest item level possible and have EtW, go for it!

Only if you are already at 3 stacks of FR, at least that's what the guide eludes to, or if you are in BC.

Hey, anyone know's what's the cap of mastery?

There isn't really a "cap" I can give you. Instead, consider stat weights as a fluid motion of numbers. When one moves, another will. When that other ones move, another will move and so on. Your cap on mastery will change depending on how much of the other stats you have.

According to simcraft rotation rules simc uses slam if MS is on cooldown and FR only in Deadly Calm Phase. I changed simcraft rules to slam at 3 stacks of FR and to use FR if not at 3 stacks and get a 15k drop in results. Can anyone confirm that with Arms nerf Slam is the new replacement to spam instead of FR? If yes, please update this guide.

I'll get @wordup on checking this. Thanks for looking into it and coming back with further analysis/results. I'm not super up-to-date with the Arms stuff, so I'll leave Wordup to the more complex help.

We had the opportunity to attend a group interview where developers answered some interesting questions about The War Within.
Production Director Michael Bybee and Senior Game Designer Sean McCann had a lot to say during the interview, thanks to many great questions from the many WoW community figures asking them!
      Delves:
Delves will be cross-faction. There will be Warband-bound rewards from Delves. Levels and Gear: 11 difficulty tiers total, with tier 9 and above not offering any new loot, mainly for bragging rights. Tiers 1 and 2 immediately selectable, 3 at max level, 4-11 when season 1 starts. There might be higher tiers as well, some possibly with just a boos room. Included in the Great Vault; gear for Tiers 8-9 equivalent to Mythic+5. Most delves will have static maps, with the dynamic part being enemy spawns, treasures and similar. The rotation of these dynamic changes are currently on a daily basis, but that may change as it's still being decided. Unlimited entries, but restrictions on the number of rare and epic keys. No downscaling in higher tier Delves, they can be outgeared. Companions: Brann progresses up to level 50, advancements shared with your Warbound. Brann is the companion for Season 1, with different companions planned for future seasons.
      Warbands:
No account-wide gold, but you will be able to deposit your gold to the Warband bank, where other members can take it out. Double click to log in Warband chars should be available, but not 100% sure yet. No plans to add more than 4 characters in Warband screen. Unclear if there will be additional poses and other options for the Warband screen, it's still being discussed. Events
More Holiday event updates, as there is now a "Live Team" that only focuses on the ongoing events in the game, including adding new ones like Azeroth Archives. Each zone will have its own world event, and the Hallowfall one is particularly special (no details shred though). Itemization:
Discussions about Legendaries are not ready to be disclosed. Aiming to broaden the sources for acquiring class sets in The War Within. Game Mechanics and Systems:
Archaeology: Not included at the launch of The War Within. Dragonriding: Leaderboards considered for future updates but not confirmed. Professions:
NPC work orders for professions, mostly for skilling up.
      Raids and Mythic+:
Heroic week is coming back! Mythic difficulty will unlock a week after the raid releases once again. Dungeon rotations from season to season will remain, as well as adding old ones in to the rotation. Plans underway to enhance the soloability of Battle for Azeroth raids; details to be announced. Mythic system has been reset: Mythic +10 is now the starting point. Discussions ongoing for more affix combinations; no new affixes announced yet. Raid testing coming later on in the Beta. Engine and Feature Updates:
Major updates include the Warbands system and improved ocean visuals at Isle of Dorn. Overhaul of the Group Manager to simplify group coordination. Follower Dungeons available from the start for leveling, allowing dungeons to be part of the zone story; potential expansion to include Follower Raids based on player feedback. Early Access and Launch:
Set to start at the end of the week with a Tuesday game launch. New raid opening delayed to prevent early access advantages, ensuring no unfair benefits from the most expensive pre-order options. Customizations:
No new glyphs for character customization at launch, with a commitment to add more customization options throughout the expansion. An idea for sharable links/codes for transmog setups was mentioned, and while they did not confirm it was being worked on, there was a seeming hint that it may be, even with the code showing where to get parts you're missing from the transmog set. Feedback and Development:
Evaluating player feedback on Brann’s performance in Delves and overall class balance in the Alpha.

Sikran, Captain of the Sureki (no model yet)
Born into a noble family, Silkran established himself as an arrogant duelist within Queen Ansuerk's court. Never knowing the cut of an enemy's blade, Sikran dispatched his rivals one-by-one and was proclaimed Captain of the Sureki by the queen herself. This indomitable fighter now ensures that any who threaten the throne fall before its might.
      Rasha'nan
Twisted by Queen Ansurek's experiments, Rasha'nan was transformed from a proud nerubian into a monstrous winged horror. Trapped within her new form, shattered memories of her former self drive Rasha'nan into an unquenchable rage.

Deep within the bowels of the queen's palace, Eggtender Ovi'nax conducts abominable experiments with the black blood found in Azj-Kahet. This corpulent horror lumbers through the palace's cavernous depths, regurgitating inky sludge onto hatchlings to observe its gruesome effects.

      The Silken Court
Scarab Lord Anub'arash and Skeinspinner Takazj are among Queen Ansurek's most trusted advisors. Yet, these two powerful nerubians harbor a hatred for each other even more powerful than their loyalty to the throne. While unleashing their considerable strength onto their enemies, each is also fighting to ensure their counterpart does not survive.

      Queen Ansurek
After a revelation of traitors in her court, Queen Ansurek decides she must eradicate the palace's invaders herself. However, paranoia over whom she can trust gnaws at her psyche. With her allies dwindling Queen Ansurek may delve into dark powers to attain victory, even if that means her most loyal soldiers become her next meal...
