Control Warrior has plenty of removal; BrawlWhirlwind/Ravaging Ghoul + Sleep with the FishesExecuteSlamShield Slam and Fiery War Axe, all of which can be played before turn 6. The trick to beating them it to keep their field contained. You also have Shield BlockAlley ArmorsmithArmorsmith and your hero power to give you life. You are not going to win them all but once you work out when to play everything your winrate should be above 50%. Last time I ran Control Warrior I had a 60%+ Winrate against Shaman.

Guess you had bad opponents. I beat this warrior deck 80+% with my shammie. And please explain me how to beat:

- the quest mirror mage that does endless damage in 1 turn

- the hero priest that does 6-10 damage every turn with his 0 cost unlimited hero power

- etc

The truth is, the game is utterly broken and a deck like this is for sure not what to play.

My deck list is a bit different than the one on the site but I assure you that the Archetype is better than you give it credit for.

Your deck is much better than the one posted here. More removals like Sleep with Fishes are essential.

Nevertheless, I decided to give up on Hearthstone since I  dislike the fact that results of games are decided for 90% by the matchup.

How good is Whirlwind in this deck, thinking you already have two copies of Ravaging Ghoul?

Also, I always wondered how control warrior would work w/o Grommash Hellscream? How does it work for you?

I'm still working out the details on this one since the release of KFT. Grommash Hellscream was a big part but I took him out for The Lich King but I'm debating on putting Gromm back in. It works without him but the games do go a little longer.

I asked because I dont have him and since I am not planning to buy classic packs anymore, I cant say when a brawl pack will get me one.

Right now, I am working on a C'thun variant, and its working okay. It needs more reactive cards compared to classic CW,  which is exactly what warrior has.

What cards did you have in mind?

Well, I didn't realize you had Sleep with the Fishes in your deck. Most control warrior lists here doesn't.

One copy of Gorehowl to deal with late game threats.

Two copies of Blood Razor as a mid-game minion removal, and some kind of whirlwind effect, to activate Execute for example.

No The Lich KingYsera or Elise the Trailblazer.

I am open to suggestions.

Most Control Warriors don't run Sleep with the Fishes  but it is in almost every Quest Warrior which I find odd. It's a great removal and I do recommend it.

I don't have the nads to run Gorehowl due to the ever presence of things like Gluttonous Ooze and Harrison Jones in control decks while aggro is running  Bloodsail Corsair.

Elise the Trailblazer is one of my all time favorite legendaries and is a great tool as she herself can win you a game so I would suggest her but in a C'Thun Warrior I'm not sure about The Lich King or Ysera as they may be too greedy for the deck.

Something to consider since you are running cards like Blood Razor and Ravaging Ghoul would be Crazed Worshipper. It would also help against aggro while building your C'Thun

This deck is an unquestionable BS. You may defend it with the same success as if you were trying to convince people that the smell of excrements is not that bad. Yeah, dude! Of course, you're right! It's just us noobs have no idea how to approach them from the leeward side.

Got to rank 6 with it last season (switched to Highlander Priest afterwards), so I'd say the deck is not "unquestionable BS". Unless your threshold for such rating is reaching #1 Legend with 100% win-rate, I do not see why you would rate the deck that way. Could you upload a few replays? 3-4 are usually good enough.

I have to agree with former poster. This deck is very very bad. If you made it to rank 6, you must have been playing against monkeys. Ofc you can win a match with it now and then, but for sure its sub par and there are many much stronger warrior decks.

Or, you know, be actually good at the game and know how to play the deck. After all, having over 800 games with various control warrior decks should be enough to know how to play the deck at an above average performance.

There are also stronger classes than warrior. If one should decide what to play based only on its power, everyone would be playing Tempo Rogue or Highlander Priest. Ever heard of playing for fun?

Hi there,

First post on IV. I'm trying this deck (I have all the required cards) but I have a lot of difficulties (still new to the game ; been playing for 2~3 monts) with it. Would you know of some player I can watch on stream to have a better understanding at how to deal with others?

I dont recommend this deck to new players. Nzoth warrior is quite weak and above that hard to play.

This is a great deck if you want to lose more than half of your games over 25+ turns. The search for answers to everything leaves you open to the mundane and it has no reliable way of generating lethal, unless you can enrage Gromash and you opponent decides to leave him on the board for you out of pity maybe? Writing this as of November- save your dust!
