Well... they do win on famous. A villain in 2.5 expansions kind of has the name.

I'm not overly excited for him though. Curious if he's a warrior or assassin (probably a bruiser either way...) and how different he is from Smash Varian. I feel like most of his unique mechanics might already be in the game... Breserker (Zul'Jin), Smash (Varian), Whirlwind (Samuro/Sonya), hamstring (butcher)...

Maybe they find a way to really make it work, but I don't know how they make another unique character from such a traditional source.

He's obviously a warrior (he even represents the class on Hearthstone!).   My guess is he'll have Gorehowl and most of his moves will rotate around its use.     They may bring in some of the moves from when he was a boss in Siege, like his slow but powerful smash and whatnot, we'll see.

Unlike most people I really like Garrosh, but I feel like we already got a lot of orcs in the game already. Honestly I was hoping for something more cool and unique. Then again, they release so many heroes that it's generally not a big deal if you don't like the newest one. Just wait for the next month! ^.^

Anyway, Lok'Tar Ogar!

I was hoping for Grom tbh. It'd be a real dick move if they made a Grom skin for Garrosh ( like they did with Widow and Nova)

Really interested to see his abilities and maybe a Grommash skin option :P.

Yes, as much as I like Garrosh, Grom I like even more! ^.^

Not all hope is lost on Widowmaker though. After all, Nova also has an Amazon skin. ^-^

Fair point. Carbot did a video on Widowmaker abilities.

Another Orc and not a single Draenei. Talk about diversity, eh, Blizzard?

Regardless, I'm curious to see how he will play.

Im stoked, Garrosh is my favorite character in WoW lore, can't wait to see his abilities

I'm calling a Y'Shaarj transformation somewhere in that move pool

I was really hoping for Maiev or Akama. In this situation I think that Grom should be 1st in Nexus. He is more epic even if Garrosh is more popular in recent 4-5 years... And Grom should have Gorehowl not this Sha-touched pseudoWarchief....

Totally dissapointed by Garrosh as next hero...Before any hints as many i wanted Kel'thuzad to come together with new HS expac. After hint counted that maybe it will be Maiev. But no, its broing orc that wont make anything new as warrior comparing to rest of characters with this type.

I'm okay with Garrosh as next hero only because I will be able to smash his face. (Oh, only if Cairne was available as a hero)

I've been thinking for a long time how Garrosh could be in HOTS, so the abilities he could have could be the next ones:

1 Mortal strike as a rage spender /IDK like 20 rage and no cooldown.

2 Rend as a DOT which generated rage with 3 secs cooldown and stayed for 10 sec.

3 heroic throw as a middle-long distance ability that slowed enemies so Garrosh could go hunting them down 7secs cool down.

4.1 (first heroic) "empower Gorehowl" that Garrosh made Gorehowl got infected with Y´shaarj "soul" that increased his damage like 30-45% for 7 secs. And like 80 secs cooldown.

4.2 (2nd heroic) "Heroic Leap"  a copy-paste from wow ability. maybe 20 secs cool down with a long range. This would give him the mobility he wouldn´t have. A 20-lvl talent that gave him a 2nd charge of heroic leap and gave Garrosh 15% velocity for 5 secs so he could escape from his enemies or chase them

As mechanics he would have rage like wow´s warrior, that would mean we would not need to refresh his mana, so he could have a longer stay at the front line. He would have like 100 rage, which would be generated by auto attacks and rend damage. This would be very viable because rend would have 3 secs cooldown so Garrosh could spam it on every enemy's team enemy.

Thanks for reading.

I actually think he might be made similar to how Sion is in LoL - I wouldn't mind that at all.

Pretty hyped on this one, even though I was expecting (and would have preferred) Kil'jaeden.

Let's see what they can do with him.

I would have just preferred to see something new added in regards to the actual playstyle. With so many standard warriors (Sonya, Muradin, Varian), there isn't much wiggle room when it comes to design. I'm hoping they get it right, but it's going to be tough.

There is Chromie. Sure, she is actually a Bronze Dragon, but still in Gnome form regardless. Also, Gelbin Mekkatorke is on development for 2 years or more.

So... you do realize you basically just described Sonya, most of her abilities in some form before or after some talents, and her trait too, right?
