Pretty crappy of Blizzard to get me all excited about being able to keep that second pet, then laughing in my face about it by putting it on a row with the stolen spell Dire Beast which they know most of us will take instead, thereby ruining the second pet concept entirely.

Thanks Bliz.

The BIS BM gear guide is showing to use the MM ring, Zevrim's Hunger....you'd think we should use the Apex Predator's Claw ring instead...

It is no longer an MM-only legendary. It now gives a 3% damage increase in all specs.

The hunter class ring was not included in either the BM or Survival legendary ranking. As a hunter main, I'd find it really hard to believe that this ring loses out to every single legendary.

Azor will add it in the next commit, thanks for letting us know!

You can still use it as a stat-stick weapon, so it shouldn't be useless. It just has no active ability now.

Put up a post in our Hunter forum and describe what it is that is killing you, what you are running on talents, etc. - we can help you there. This is more for feedback concerning the guide itself.

Hi,

There is obviously some fight-length breakpoint where Killer Instinct is better than Dire Beast. Has anyone done the math on where that is? The overall length of the fight will be a factor as well as the % of time spent on targets under 35% health.

But short fights like maybe normal garothi worldbreaker (if the dps are geared) might be better off with dire beast. The execute phase might not be long enough.

Do we know if you get the Aspect of the Beast bonus to all 3 pet spec passives if you're using Apex Predator's Claw? Or just the one that your pet is? If it's all 3, I definitely feel like that's a must legendary for leveling.

The Belt Buckle from Wrath does not work on Mythic 240 ilevel gear. I just tried on 2 different belts on live. Have not tried the one from WOD. I get an error trying to attach it.

The belt buckles do not work as of 2pm today. They hotfixed it.  Saw that on wowhead earlier.

All that matters is how long the execute phase is RELATIVE to the total length of the fight. Thus the fight length does not really make any difference.

And regarding everything else, yeah, Belt Buckles are fixed, guide updated. 🙂

any pawn stat wieghts

Check out the section about RaidBots on the stats or Simulations page. The weights just aren't very useful anymore with how easy self-simming is.

I’m confused about why we are now being told to use versatility flasks in the guide instead of agility flasks when in the section about stat priority it clearly states agility is best and versatility is worst. This change is a head scratcher for sure. And also, Apex Predator Claw is considered inferior to Zevrim’s Hunger? That has to be a mistake as well.

Certain flasks are currently very oddly tuned, with their stat contributions being much, much higher than they should be. Due to this, that Vers flask currently gives almost double the amount of Vers that a Legion flask gives in main stat. So, unless your agility weight is twice as high as your Vers one (unlikely), the Vers flask will be better.

This is likely to get patched at some point, but while it's still strong, it's worth using.

As for the ring comparison, they are extremely close, as show by the ST ranking, but Zevrim is a flat 3% increase on all damage done vs. pet 5% and specialisations.

Hello,

What is wrong with pet growl and dash? I turn them on automatic and they don't work... you need to actually press the growl/dash buttons to make them work. The buttons are flashing which should mean that they are on automatic, but they are just not working. I have to press Dash every time I want m pet to sprint, and also on Growl for taunt. Kinda wierd grinding outdoors when your pet does not taunt...

This is also happening with food. If you look at single person foods, the Pandaria foods are now currently better than the current content in that regard and actually have main stat foods. So for BM it’s best at the moment to use Sea Mist Rice Noodles and I can’t remember the name of the other one similar to that because they both offer 18 points of Agility, equivalent to a hearty feast.

Do you have any addons that might be causing this issue?

We're trying to stay on top of the different old consumables being found, so we'll keep updating the consumables page as required, but you're correct - it seems Pandaria is the king of consumables atm!

I have disabled all addons, still no change. Also, when pet is fighting, if you press Dash, the pet disengages 😄
