What about the Stranglethorn Tiger for Frostwolf Warlord? It is a beast and can often be buffed by the Houndmaster.

Sure

Ayo. Why isn't webspinner included?

Webspinner is a Naxx card, this is a Basic only deck.

Yes, I understand that, but you are also giving Naxx card swap suggestions. I guess I'd like to see more of these suggestions as people gain better cards. So would you swap out anything for webspinners/othercardsforthatmatter?

P.S. Thanks a million for this guide.

You can check out the https://www.icy-veins.com/hearthstone/hunter-deckshunter decks page, where you can look at the other decks. You can definitely find similarities among these: Like one card being included in all of them etc etc., and start working towards those cards.

If Sottle had to write every single scenario what a good substitustion is, we wouldn't have any new decks that are up-to-date to the meta, as writing such section for every deck is very time consuming and results in minimal benefits. (Users could really just check the legend decks and see what cards are being used there)

Nice selection of basic decks here. With the Hunter one I'm having problems with players who seem to be stacking up taunt card and I can AOE them away with mage but with this hunter deck it seems hard. Should I add taunt cards  to my deck or go for multiple lower cost beasts to try to  overun the taunts ?  Any ideas welcome.

You should be able to deal with Taunts just fine between things like Hunter's Mark and Kill Command, that's a lot of good answers.

Sorry to say but this deck is more or less useless after latest expansion, there is simply not enough board control neither direct damage to be effective against any class provided that player have a few cards that are slightly better than basic.

Just tried this out with only changing in 1x savannah and 1x frost trap and went 9-0, rank 20 down to 15 (4/4) stars and this was against 2x mech mages/ 2x agro pally / 1x agro hunter / 2x ramp druids / 2 x zoo lock. Thanks! I only used this to finish a daily quest and ended up going on a nice win streak then lost to a mage with a crazy hero power combo deck which i had no early game to deal with it!

1 problem from getting any further is lack of card draw

So I've built this deck and made most of the improvement swaps.  I'm looking to move up to a more specialized deck.  What is the best route to go focusing on Tempo?

Loving your decks man. Just started playing and i would have only beaten the AI if it wasnt for your guides, great work, really appreciating your input. I got a couple of packs opened, do you think any of these cards would improve this basic deck: abusive sergeant, leper gnome, worgen infiltrator, ironbeak owl, knife juggler, cult master, pit fighter, ancient brewmaster or a silver hand knight? Sorry for the long list, still cant tell which are good or bad

Abusive Sergeant *could* go in the place of Stonetusk Boar. Owl could be used instead of Grizzly and so should Knife Juggler. Pit Fighter should be used in place of Frostwolf Warlord.

Why stonetusk boar instead of elven archer? Same effect and elven archer isn't dead at the end of the turn. Is being a beast enough justification to put it in?

Yes, the Beast tag is what makes Stonetusk better. However, I do not play either of them on my super fresh (about 30 minutes old) NA account

Hi. Any swaps for uldum?

There are a lot of improvements from the Saviors of Uldum set. If you can list some cards that you own, I could tell you which ones can be used in this deck. Listing all improvements from the set would be unfeasible.
