This discovery has led some players to believe the game may be preparing for Steam integration. While this doesn’t serve as official confirmation the presence of Steam related files in the client has fueled speculation that a Steam release could be in development. As with all leaks, the information should be treated only as speculation until HoYoverse makes a formal announcement.
It’s exciting to speculate this because bringing Genshin Impact to Steam could make the game more convenient to play on PC, introduce it to a much larger audience, and add Steam features like achievements, social integration, and possible Steam Deck support.
