In Endfield, after Valley IV, Wuling can feel like the game suddenly hit the reset button. New PAC, new factory, new materials, new Stock Bills, and way fewer resource sources overall. That is a bit normal, since we do not have the full Wuling region yet, only two zones are available. However, this does not mean everything needs to start from zero or that you have to struggle.
Wuling is a second region designed to work alongside Valley IV. At first, it will feel like it is entirely independent, but you are meant to make both work together in a way. If you treat it like a new start, you will struggle. If you treat it like an extension of Valley IV, things go much smoother.
As mentioned, Wuling is smaller and more limited, but it will almost certainly expand in future versions, so right now, efficiency matters more.

First Rule of Wuling
Before worrying about optimization, push the Wuling main story. Even more than in Valley IV, a lot of main systems are locked behind story progression, including:
- Your Wuling PAC (AIC factory)
- The Outpost
- The Forge of the Sky
- Water-related production facilities
Without these, you will not be able to set up proper production lines in Wuling anyway, so you might as well get it over with first. You do not have to complete the whole story, but you should at least progress up until you unlock the Forge of the Sky and the Xiranite production.
Only then does Wuling fully “open.”
The Biggest Mistake
The biggest mistake you can make is also coming to Wuling too early. Wuling depends heavily on Valley IV right now. If your Valley IV development is weak, Wuling will feel miserable.
Before committing to Wuling, Valley IV should ideally have:
- Regional Development Level 12 (or at least 11 to unlock the transfer of materials between regions)
- Maxed Stock & Depot
- All Outposts unlocked and leveled
- A stable, automated factory that produces a good amount of HC Batteries
- Mining routes are fully established
This is important because material transfer is essential. If you cannot transfer materials from your Valley early on, you will run into problems in Wuling, especially for Ferrium Ore. You will need that in large amounts, but there are currently only 2 mining spots in Wuling for those, and it is clearly not enough if you want a steady income later on.
Wuling simply does not produce enough base materials on its own. That will eventually change as more zones get added to Wuling, but for now, you need a little head start.
Materials You Should Stockpile Before Going to Wuling
If you want a nice transition, bring these with you:
- Ferrium Ore & Originium Ore
- Sandleaf & Buckflowers
- HC Valley Batteries (highest-tier batteries from Valley IV)
- Ferrium Bottles – Put some directly in your inventory. You will need them for water-based puzzles and crafting in Wuling. The game gives you a few when you have to interact with the first puzzle in Wuling, but we found it more efficient to have more bottle on us. Prevents a lot of back-and-forth for certain puzzles.
What Is Different in Wuling
Mechanically, Wuling works like Valley IV, but with a few small changes:
- New main material: Xiranite
- Access to water, and that unlocks new crafting chains
- Wireless Xiranite pylons and relays (so no more cable spaghetti)
- New LC Wuling Batteries for long-term power (you can use old batteries at first, but you want to switch eventually because the Wuling batteries are just more powerful)
Keep in mind that this will be similar for each new region that will be added. Every Region will have its own main material that gets added, and additional features specific to it.
Xiranite – The Heart of Wuling
Xiranite is the most important material in Wuling. You need it for:
- Best-in-slot gear
- Batteries
- Components
- High-level crafting
You cannot farm Xiranite directly. It is crafted exclusively via the Forge of the Sky, and that one is unlocked through the story. Xiranite crafting requires Stabilized Carbon and Clean Water, and that means water infrastructure is non-negotiable, so make sure you unlock Hydroponic planting, Fluid filler, and Reactor crucible first.
Get these running as soon as you can.
Material Transfers
As mentioned, Wuling does not allow you to yield enough materials right now, so you need to make use of the transferring systems in Arknights: Endfield. Ferrium is your main problem. There simply is not enough Ferrium in Wuling to sustain:
- Xiranite Components
- Yazhen Syringes
- Outpost progression
You should manually transfer Ferrium Ore from Valley IV regularly. Expect to do this every few days to keep production stable. When you can just teleport once a week to Dijang and manually fill up as much ferrium as you can from your Valley stock, switch Depot to the Wuling depot, and deposite it all there until it is full.

You can set up the automatic transfer thing through the Protocol Management of your PAC in Wuling, but it is slower. You do want to add the manual transfer at least once a week. For the automatic transfer, just head to your PAC in Wuling and select “Protocol Management.”

This will open the regional transfer menu, where you can select any goods you want to transfer. It will only send a certain amount of it per hour. If you do not have access to this, it means you need to level up your Valley IV Regional Development up to level 12.

What to Craft First in Wuling
If you want to stay efficient, we recommend you focus on the following materials in order:
- Xiranite
- Requires Stabilized Carbon + Clean Water
- LC Wuling Battery
- Requires Xiranite + Dense Originium Powder
- Xiranite Components (Current Endgame Gear)
- Requires Xiranite + Packed Origocrust
- Yazhen Syringe C
- Requires Ferrium Bottles + Ferrium Parts
Yazhen Syringes are the item you want for Outpost trading, but they burn Ferrium fast, and that is another reason why Valley IV support is mandatory.
Outpost progression in Wuling is also intentionally slower than Valley IV due to fewer resource sources. Do not be too surprised if you do not manage to level it as fast as it was possible in the Valley.
Recommended Wuling Factory Blueprints
For those who get started or those who are already set up but need a proper Endgame layout for maximum efficiency, here are a few community-recommended Blueprints that you can easily use.
Keep in mind that most of those are EU/NA server-specific, so they might not work out for other servers. However, they are linked to the source, and that allows you to manually copy the setup if needed as well.

Best Endgame Wuling Factory
Shared by Pirkui on Reddit, the following full Wuling factory layout is one of the best ones you can currently set up for your endgame. You do need to transfer Ferrium from your Valley, as we mentioned before, if you want it to run properly.
You also need to make sure that your bus line is unlocked and that area expansion is leveled up, otherwise you will not have enough space.

We highly recommend checking out the original post, as the creator provides more information and details about the layout and how it works in the comments.
With that, you will be set up nicely until the next part of the region unlocks!
Keep in mind that Wuling is not a reset, but it can be a sort of “stress test” of your Valley IV setup. If Valley IV is strong, Wuling feels manageable and rewarding. If Valley IV is underdeveloped, Wuling becomes frustrating fast.
Do the story first, transfer the materials you need, prioritize Xiranite, and keep your factory compact. Play it basically like an extension of your existing infrastructure, not a completely separate part.
