Genshin fans were disappointed the game wasn’t featured in the main event at Gamescom. But they just released a short teaser for Flins to quench players’ thirst for Nod-Krai content.
Among the various games announced during yesterday’s show, HoYoverse didn’t release a single teaser for the upcoming region. But that was only for the main show! Players who attended Genshin’s booth got to see an exclusive trailer for Flins. For those who couldn’t attend in person, the official Genshin channel has released the trailer on YouTube.
It is not a “Character Demo” or a “Character Teaser.” So keep your eyes peeled, because this one sets the vibe for what’s ahead! It’s similar to the sneak peak we saw earlier this month, which featured Lauma.
Small Trailer, Small Details
What does this trailer actually reveal (besides Flins’ aura)?
It shows Nod-Krai’s gloomy atmosphere and dark ambience, as Wild Hunt’s monsters surround the Traveler. For players who haven’t seen them, they might be surprising due to their distinct and creepy appearance. If I didn’t know they were Genshin’s universe, I would have guessed they came from a FromSoftware game.
It seems HoYoverse has put a lot of effort into Nod-Krai, as it feels completely different from what we’ve seen so far.
This teaser also officially revealed Flins’ abilities and combat animations, if you hadn’t seen them yet through leaks. It looks amazing, and as one of the characters featured in Nod-Krai’s first gacha banner, he is sure to appeal to many players.
It also gave us a glimpse of Flins’ personality, which we hadn’t seen much of in the previous trailers. Based on his interaction with the Traveler, he seems like a gentleman, despite his gloomy appearance and his ties to death and vengeful spirits. As a member of the Lightkeepers faction, it looks like we’ll be fighting alongside him.
Gamescom is far from over, so we can expect HoYoverse to drop more content until the before the event ends on August 24th.
So if you’re as hyped as I am for Nod-Krai, stay tuned for more articles!
