A new leak for Genshin Impact Version 6.5 suggests HoYoverse may finally be adding bonus rewards for players who go beyond the minimum requirements of the permanent event “To Temper Thyself and Journey Far.”For those who need a reminder, this is the event where you can get a 5-Star Constellation for a selected set of characters.

Until now, the system has worked like this:
- Complete 4 daily commissions
- Spend at least 120 Original Resin in one day
- Do this 5 times per week to complete the weekly training goal
- Complete 8 weekly goals during a phase to unlock a selectable 5-star Stella Fortuna
The issue? Once you completed the required five training days in a week, there was no additional incentive tied to that event. Extra daily and weekly completions did not contribute to anything further.
That may be changing in 6.5.
“Tempered in Practice, Restored to Rite” New Weekly Bonus
According to leaks, a new reward tier called “Tempered in Practice, Restored to Rite” will be added to the system.
After completing the 8 weekly training goals and claiming the Stella Fortuna reward for the current phase, players will unlock access to an additional weekly bonus the following week.
This bonus appears to function like a small crate that you can claim, and that contains:
- 20 Primogems
- 1 Transient Resin
- Random character or weapon enhancement materials
It also seems like this reward resets weekly. In other words, once you have progressed far enough in the system, continuing to complete your 5 weekly training goals will not just be maintenance, but it will generate extra value.
A Subtle but Meaningful Change
This is not a massive overhaul of the event, but it is still a nice change. Previously, highly active players who consistently did their commissions and resin spending beyond the five required days did not receive additional specific rewards. With this update, long-term consistency could be modestly but reliably rewarded.
Twenty Primogems per week is not huge, but over time, combined with a Transient Resin and materials, it adds up. More importantly, it removes the “dead week” feeling after you have hit your weekly quota.
Of course, this also means that players who might not be able to log in every day will ultimately lose out on some Primogems, and that is not making everyone happy.
As always, this information comes from leaks, so nothing is 100% sure until it is officially confirmed. If implemented in Version 6.5, though, it would be a nice player-friendly improvement to one of Genshin’s permanent systems.
