Lately we have seen a ton of leaks, some more questionable than others, of a new Genshin Impact mode: a full UGC (User-Generated Content) mode called Miliastra. This new sandbox-style mode will let players design their own characters, build custom maps, and play online with others, making it a major change from the usual adventure format of the main game.
Here’s everything we managed to gather from the most reliable leaks!
What Is This UGC Mode Exactly?
Miliastra is a supposed to be a separate game mode built around creativity and player-generated content. Where TCG is directly incorporated into Genshin, this mode seems to be a full other game inside of Genshin Impact. It shares the same assets and visuals, meaning you won’t need a huge extra download to play it.
Various leaks such as the following one from Mero indicate at the different content we will be able to enjoy in this mode:
The concept is somewhat similar to modes like Serenitea Pot or Genius Invokation TCG, but on a much larger scale. This time, you will be able to create fully custom adventures, like:
- Jumping puzzles
- Combat arenas
- Roleplay maps
- Multiplayer social hubs
The mode will also have his own content, such as:
- Battle Pass
- Gacha currency
- Specific Pulls
Multiplayer and Lobby Details
As mentioned in Mero’s leak, Miliastra will support public lobbies with up to 20 players, and private lobbies for up to 12. This opens the door to co-op that go far beyond what Genshin Impact currently offers.
If you want a look at the lobby, here is a first video via Blednaya:
Create Your Own Character
It also seems like we will be able to design our own fully custom character, choosing:
- Clothing
- Skin tone
- Facial features
- Hairstyle and more
So far, testing has only included female models, but male characters are expected to be available when the mode officially launches.
Gacha System, Cosmetics & Monetization
As mentioned, the mode will also come with its own gacha system, but instead of pulling for new characters or weapons, players will pull for cosmetics, such as outfits, accessories, and visual effects.
There are a lot of options, with Cloth, Shoes, Headwear, Bracelets, even Eyebrows, Eye Shadows, and more! There will also be a new Battle Pass system tied to this mode.
However, some early leaks have raised concerns:
- Certain items might require Primogems from the main game
- A possible stamina/resin-like system might limit playtime, though it is rumored to have a much higher cap than standard Resin
Simulanka Setting & Lore
From what we have seen, the central hub of Miliastra seems to take inspiration from Simulanka, the colorful dreamworld featured in the Version 4.8 Summer Event. Some players speculate it could be tied to Alice, who is more and more present with each new quest.
When Is Miliastra Releasing?
There is no official release date yet, but development appears to be in its final stages. With leaks spreading and beta testing already underway, it is likely that HoYoverse will share official details soon, possibly during a livestream or in an upcoming version announcement.
One thing is sure: this mode could be a game-changer for Genshin Impact, giving players the tools to be more creative and play together in new ways. But if it will be a good thing or not, depends on how HoYoverse handles monetization and limitations.
We will update you as soon as more information drops! For now, keep in mind that all the information is early leaks, and can still change.
