Genshin Impact continues to roll out small but meaningful quality-of-life improvements for Travelers. This time, the changes are focused on weekly boss rewards! Here is everything you need to know! Keep in mind that this information comes from leaks, and may be adjusted until release!
What’s Changing?
According to the latest leaks, Genshin Impact’s weekly bosses will soon include a first-time clear reward system. This means that the first time you defeat a boss, you’ll receive a set of rewards. The rewards aren’t particularly special. It’s just one of each material that the boss typically drops. You can check out the leak details here:
If you’ve already beaten all the weekly bosses, don’t worry! You won’t need to fight them again. You’ll be able to claim the first-clear rewards directly. This change basically means that upon the release of a new boss, you will directly have one of each item, allowing you to access directly one of the upgrades of your new character.
How Could It Be Even Better?
Many players have been asking for the ability to farm the same boss multiple times per week, similar to other HoYoverse titles. While getting at least one of each drop on the first clear is a nice start, a lot of Travelers would love the freedom to farm specific bosses instead of being stuck farming ones they no longer need.
Additionally, a lot of players are hoping for a way to exchange older boss materials for newer ones. Right now, many have stacks of outdated materials gathering dust in their inventories.
Although there’s no confirmation that HoYoverse plans to adjust weekly boss rewards further, this first step is promising. Let’s hope for even more quality-of-life improvements in the coming months!
