Linnea Might Be a Game-Changer for Mining in Genshin Impact

Genshin Impact Linnea

Mining ores in Genshin Impact has always been one of those little chores that can eat up a lot of time, especially if you do not have a Claymore character handy. Could this change with Linnea?

After her kit was leaked a few days ago, players were also surprised to learn that her exploration ability was already nerfed. However, a new leak that was shared today revealed this nerf has now been reverted completely. Instead of being able to only “one-shot” Iron and White Iron Chunks, she can now directly one-shot any type of Minerals you can find in the game.

One-Shot Minerals?

As mentioned, the leak hints that Linnea’s exploration passive allows her to break all types of ores instantly, no matter the material. This would be a huge quality-of-life boost for players who spend hours farming materials for ascensions, weapons, and crafting. What is even more interesting is that her ability was apparently nerfed and then buffed again, so players are curious to see exactly how it will perform in the live game.

It seems like even the devs figured it was best to leave this ability as it was instead of nerfing it!

Are Players Even Mining?

Yes and no. You could argue that it is rather easy to get any mining materials you need through other means than just going out in the open world yourself and hitting some stones over and over again. However, for some Minerals, you sort of have to do it yourself if you want to be the most efficient.

For Genshin players, switching characters just to mine can be tedious, especially in large farming runs. Linnea could cut down all that micromanagement, making exploration and gathering feel better overall and more rewarding. Even if you are not grinding ores daily, having a character like this could make collecting rare materials less of a drag.

We all have one or two characters that we never leveled because we are too lazy to go and farm Minerals for them… or maybe that is just me…

No official confirmation yet, of course, but if the leak is accurate, Linnea might become an essential pick for anyone who wants to speed up resource farming. Between her combat potential and this exploration bonus, she is definitely going to be a pretty exciting addition.
