The latest Gacha revenue rankings for August 2025 are here, and the chart looks very different compared to last month! Some classics made a massive comeback, but HoYoverse titles had a rough month overall.

Honkai: Star Rail – Big Drop After July

After leading in July with a massive $92.45 million, Honkai: Star Rail took a heavy hit in August, falling to $28.45 million (-$64 million). The drop pushed it down to #5 overall. This huge decline likely reflects the post-anniversary cooldown and less interesting banners compared to the previous patch.

Genshin Impact – Steady, But Down

Genshin Impact also slipped in August, earning $26.7 million, down from $42.3 million in July. That is a -37% month-over-month drop, putting it at #6 on the chart. Genshin is still a consistent earner overall, but its numbers show that players may be saving for bigger upcoming patches and banner reruns. We can expect Genshin to raise back to the top in September, with the release of Nod-Krai!

Zenless Zone Zero – Cooling Down

Zenless Zone Zero on the other hand keeps falling down, going from $22.96 million in July to $15.9 million in August. That is a -30% dip, landing it at #12. The game remains in the top 15, but it seems like it does not manage to gain back enough hype to push past the top ten anymore.

The Top 3

  1. Fate/Grand Order – $51.78M (+92%), the game pushed to the top, riding strong summer events and anniversary campaigns.
  2. Pokémon TCG Pocket – $50M (+32%), the Pokémon card game is still going strong each month.
  3. Love and Deepspace – $42M (-39%), despite a slight drop, it still held the third spot.

For August 2025, the story is clear! Fate/Grand Order and Pokémon are standing strong at the top, and HoYoverse’s big three all trended downward. With September updates and new banners coming soon, it will be interesting to see if Honkai: Star Rail, Genshin Impact, and Zenless Zone Zero can bounce back next month.
