Recent leaks from Reddit have revealed that Honkai: Star Rail could be seeing another collaboration with Fate/ Stay Night featuring potential characters Gilgamesh and Rin. While details remain scarce and there’s been no official confirmation from HoYoverse just yet, the speculation alone has already sparked excitement within the Honkai: Star Rail community.
The enthusiasm around this leak is understandable. The previous Fate collaboration was a major success, bringing iconic characters like Saber and Archer into the game and receiving a strong positive response from players. If these new leaks turn out to be true, it raises an interesting question, could version 4.3 follow the same pattern as 3.4 and reward players with another free character from the series?
What Do We Potentially Know?

Gilgamesh from Fate/Stay Night and Mydei from Honkai: Star Rail share noticeable similarities in their character design, particularly in their overall aesthetic and presence. Could this suggest that they might also fulfill similar roles in terms of build and team positioning or is it simply a coincidence in visual design?

On the other hand Rin does not seem to share any similarities with any current Honkai: Star Rail character.
With the possibility of new Fate characters arriving in Honkai: Star Rail, many players are starting to wonder what this means for the current collaboration banners. Will the long running Saber and Archer banners finally come to an end, or will they continue alongside any new additions? And if more Fate characters do join, could they take the spotlight away from Saber and Archer? There’s also speculation around whether Gilgamesh might replace Archer as the free collaboration character.
