Phainon released this week in Honkai: Star Rail and it’s safe to say that he is breaking records! His banner has held the #1 spot on Japan’s iOS revenue charts for three days in a row. This is showing just how excited players are to add him to their teams.

According to estimates, Phainon’s banner has already brought in 1.8 billion yen. This is around $12.5 million USD, and that’s just from iOS users in Japan! It means that once every platform will be counted together, he may beat previous characters!

A Strong Launch for a Popular Character

Phainon was most likely one of the most anticipated characters in Star Rail. It is clear that players were ready to pull for him! He has everything: a unique design, gameplay style, story role… He quickly became a favorite for a ton of players.

The fact that he topped the Japanese mobile charts for three days straight speaks a lot about this popularity, and about Star Rail’s continued appeal as a gacha game.

Honkai: Star Rail has had several strong banner launches, but Phainon’s banner is already one of the biggest in terms of day-one earnings. With this, he could easily become one of the top-performing limited banners in the game so far.
