HoYoverse has unveiled a powerful new 5-star Light Cone titled “Thus Burns the Dawn”, tailored specifically for characters following the Path of Destruction, in particular the newly introduced character, Phainon.
At its core, the Light Cone dramatically enhances the user’s capabilities. At S1, it boosts Speed, ignores a portion of enemy defense when dealing DMG, and grants a special “Blazing Sun” effect after the Ultimate is used, significantly increasing damage output.
With base stats at Level 80 sitting at 952 HP, 687 ATK, and 396 DEF, it offers a well-rounded power boost suitable for aggressive combat styles. Its backstory speaks to themes of sacrifice, perseverance, and resolve, tying deeply into Phainon’s narrative.
To upgrade the Light Cone, players will need materials like Ethereal Omen
and Borisin Teeth
. However, it’s worth noting that “Thus Burns the Dawn” is a limited-time weapon, available only through Warp events and not featured in the permanent Stellar Warp Banner.
This release reinforces Phainon’s role as a formidable force within the Destruction path, and the Light Cone is expected to be a sought-after item for players aiming to maximise their damage potential.
