HoYoverse released a post recently around the delays of Version 4.0 in addition to revealing the name of the long awaited new world in Honkai: Star Rail. This new world will now be called “Planarcadia” rather than the previously expected name “Edo Star“. Fans of Honkai: Star Rail have mixed emotions around the images that have been released revealing spoliers around the new world and new characters coming in 4.0.

The 3 images that Hoyoverse have shared with the Honkai: Star Rail community has sparked many debates around the new and upcoming characters that we could expect to see in 4.0. Many have their own opinions and views as to who may resemble the silhouettes in the image released some with excitment and some with questions.
It has been mostly speculated that from Left to Right the characters coming in 4.0 may include: Sparkle SP, Yae Sakura, Blade SP, La Mancha or Boothill, Silver Wolf SP and Yaoguang. Many are excited to see the appearance of new faces as well as the return of others causing excitment amongst fans. In addition to the spoilers of potential characters the theme around which they are presented could be potentially giving queen of heart or theatrical themed vibes conveying a sense of mystery and an intentional “Guess Who?” around the character silhouettes.
Although most of the attention has been focused on the previous teaser, this new image introduces a massive PomPom tower set in a cyberpunk style city, a look that many fans say gives off Belobog theme park energy.
Initial impressions of the new world have been mixed. Some fans feel the environment looks rushed, pointing out areas that resemble placeholder or artificial looking buildings, which they believe may be the result of limited development time and a last minute push to revise existing assets. On the other hand, many players are expressing excitement over the playful new design and are eagerly looking forward to seeing the full release in the near future.
There hasn’t been much speculation surrounding this final image, with most fans simply questioning what awaits in the full release of Version 4.0. Many feel that the teasers so far echo elements of previous worlds such as Belobog and Penacony. While it’s still early and the official release is some time away, HoYoverse has certainly given fans plenty to think about leaving many unsure of what to expect.
