Taijutsu Scrapper Build Guide for Lost Ark
Scrapper is a mobile, tanky melee class based around the balancing of their dual-energy bars, Shock and Stamina. This build utilizes the quickness of Stamina energy for a relentless assault.
The Scrapper is a master of dueling energies, Stamina and Shock. In this guide we are leaning into our Stamina skills via theengraving. This causes Stamina energy to generate at a significantly higher rate (300%/450%/600% increase), while also buffing the damage of Stamina skills by 30%/45%/60% depending on the engraving level. This does come at a cost, however. With any rank of this Engraving active, your Shock skills will deal 30% less damage. The build will still require a few Shock skills to balance the energies, but the vast majority of our damage comes from our Stamina skills here.
It is important to know before continuing that this builds REQUIRES at least Level 1 of theEngraving. It simply will not function without it. That means this is something you will have to transition to after unlocking engravings, which is a bit later in the leveling process. We would also simply not recommend it for leveling given its poor AoE potential.
Unlike many other builds in the games, this build is not reliant on Card Sets, Skill Gems, or additional Tripod levels to really function. Obviously, as you progress your character further you will absolutely want to take advantage of these damage buffs, but the core playstyle functions perfectly without them.
Taijutsu Scrapper Strengths and Weaknesses
- Fast-paced but simple

- Back attack positioning requirements

- Short melee range on most skills
The Scrapper is a quick, yet sturdy melee class. The Stamina (yellow) skills tend to highlight quickness with rapid, multi-hit attacks, while the Shock (green) skills favor long animations for huge bursts of damage in a single hit.
Every build for this class will have to find a balance between the two, as this is the core gameplay mechanic of the Scrapper. Our Stamina skills generate Shock energy, and our Shock skills generate Stamina. You must maintain this balance as best you can or you will find yourself out of both energies, losing valuable DPS in the process. For thebuild, this balance becomes a bit easier to maintain. In almost all situations you will simply use whatever skills you have available, doing your best to balance cooldowns in a way that you will never have any downtime.
When facing a new boss, it is a good idea to at first take the time to figure out how the boss moves around. Some bosses stand still a lot and are easy to position around, but others move quite a bit. It is not mandatory to always land positional attacks, and most of the time it is best to just do damage when your cooldowns are up while avoiding taking damage.
However, withbeing a common engraving choice for Scrappers, it is something you want to work on getting comfortable with. Unlike other MMOs, the amount of healing you can receive is extremely limited in Lost Ark, so it is important to do damage while taking as little in return as possible. In endgame content, even the number of healing potions that you can use is limited per encounter, so you cannot count on healing yourself with potions.
As a Scrapper, you will enjoy playing with any support in your party, as well as pseudo-supports like Wardancers and Gunlancers. Your damage is very consistent, so all synergies from other damage classes are helpful to you as well. Deathblades in particular are nice to be paired with, as they have high uptime on a debuff that increases positional damage taken by the target. Given that Scrappers utilize positionals in almost all of their skills, this is a nice overall boost to damage!
Every class has a wide variety of skills to chose from with Tripods that can change how each skill performs. The Scrapper is able to select eight skills to be on their action bar alongside their and Awakening skills. As mentioned before, this class does not have an active Identity skill. Below we will discuss our picks for skills for general purpose and single target fights.
For most content you are going to want to bring massive area of effect damage to help you clear out groups of enemies, as well as good mobility to help get around quickly. We recommend this 260 Skill Point Tree for skills and Tripods.
You will notice immediately that only 6 skills are chosen in the link above. This is because thebuild is truly weak when it comes to filling out a build of quality mobbing spells. That does not mean the build cannot succeed in this form of content, as you will find many players that exclusively play this build, more so since the job is done with a few very strong abilities rather than all 8. With that said, your remaining 2 (and even some of these 6) are up to your personal preference.
is the star of the show here. With a pretty short cooldown, huge damage, and a much larger radius than is initially apparent, this is the perfect mobbing skill. You will likely be pretty comfortable with it since it is also your best leveling skill.
finally get to flex its muscles in this build. Commonly used as a mobility tool, this skill also packs a punch when leveled up. Feel free to opt into Great Destruction over Advent of the Black Dragon if you want to sneak in a little bit more boss damage.
is added to the build as more of a utility spell than for raw damage. Being able to group mobs cleanly for a big can help your clear speed quite a bit. Battering Fists by itself has trouble hitting enough mobs to feel very impactful, but this combo allows it to shine. also helps facilitate these combos while Chain is on cooldown, and should be utilized as often as possible.
is exactly what it sounds like! A channeled spell firing punch after punch, powering through waves of mobs like they are not even there. This spell also does a great job of buying time waiting for your bigger spells to come back off cooldown.
Like mentioned earlier, your last 2 spells are really up to you. The best options to choose from are the Raiding build below, so you will have plenty of opportunities to become familiar with them all and customize your mobbing build from there!, , , , or . These spells are all used in
It is important to note that all the 6 core skills, with the sole exception of, are Back Attacks meaning that they will deal 5% more damage and have 20% more critical strike chance when hitting tougher enemies from behind. While this does not really matter against weak enemies, keep this in mind when facing bosses. Either Awakening ability is a fine choice, but once you unlock both you should favor Mysterious Art Blast of Ruination simply because it is a bit easier to connect with than .
For single target-focused content such as Guardian Raids you will want to bring a skill set that is focused on dealing the maximum damage to a boss. The following skills should help you maximize single target damage while providing maneuverability to avoid taking damage.

This is an alterative build.
This set-up is where the build truly shines. The Stamina skills naturally favor bossing over mobbing, and here we can really lean into the relentless onslaught of quick attacks that makes Taijutsu own!
You will notice an alternative build listed, and you are probably wondering what purpose it serves. Many times you will find yourself in a group that does not have a reliable counter ability. These abilities can be exceptionally powerful at increasing your party's DPS uptime on the boss, and thus can be worth taking a slight personal damage hit to facilitate. Now yes,is a counter ability, but it is rather slow and wants to be used rotationally for damage. Thus, flexing in helps fill that void pretty effectively. In most situations, this will not need to be utilized at all, but it is certainly an important option to consider.
As mentioned,is our sole counter skill in the traditional build, but really wants to be used on cooldown for its high damage. Be sure to pay attention to your party's makeup, as in some situations it may be useful to hold this skill for a clutch counter attack on the boss.
is a simple, quick punch attack with a bit of mobility attached to it. That said, and should be way more than enough movement, so do your best to use this only for damage. is our only real filler ability in this build and should be used just often enough to maintain the Amplified Damage debuff.
It is very important to remember all of your skills aside from(which is a Front Attack) are Back Attacks, which is a recurring trend for Scrapper builds. When the positional requirement is satisfied these skills with the damage AND Stagger effect will be increased. This is multiplied even more if you are utilizing the engraving (likely).
For this build the most important stats are Crit and Swiftness. Specialization is of very little use to us since we only ever use one or two Shock skills, so naturally Crit becomes the next best option and is simply a great all around stat for increasing all of your damage. You will be looking to grab a bit of Swiftness to round out your stats. This is mostly for the cooldown reduction effect. Your goal should be about a 70/30 split in favor of Crit.
The most important Engraving is, as this build is quite literally unplayable with at least Level 1. The scaling of this engraving is strong enough to warrant trying to rush Level 3 on it as soon as you can. The focus beyond that becomes obtaining Level 3 and Level 3 . Grudge in particular we want to rush to Level 3 as soon as we can, due to the fact that the positive bonus scales exceptionally with level, while the negative bonus is static. Master of Ambush buffs our Back Attacks even more, given that we are able to satisfy the positional requirement consistently.
Some other good options if you are uncomfortable with positionals, or just cannot find accessories with these engravings, areand .
We would like to givean honorable mention as well. This is normally an overlooked Engraving, as it has essentially no value when fighting bosses, but it performs exceptionally in Chaos Dungeons and world content. Although it may be tempting to pick up a defensive Engraving like or we highly recommend you avoid using them because Engravings are a large source of increased damage that you would be missing out on otherwise.
Pets can have stats that boost your character and for this build we recommend using a pet that boosts your Swiftness and Max life.
There are no consumables that would be considered "best" for this build. Rather, there are a handful of consumables that are situationally very valuable.and are commonly used to help survivability. (Stagger), (Weak Point), and (Damage) are commonly used to help with their corrosponding fight checks if you are having trouble meeting the requirements. Since Scrapper's kit is already very high in Stagger and Weak Point contribution, you will typically opt to use Dark Grenade. This will vary depending on what your specific party or raid needs.
Card Sets are a rather late-game part of Lost Ark and can require significant time and investment in order to reach the leveled up benefits of any deck. This build does not require any particular deck to be effective but does benefit from any of the damaging increasing decks. Your end game goals for card sets should be either(12) for the Crit Chance, or (12+) for the Holy damage conversion and buff. Unless you have the aforementioned decks, we recommend using anything that boosts your Max Health such as World Bosses or Armory sets.
