Another large Classic+ private server has been targeted by Blizzard to shut it down. This server has been launched recently to a very large population, with players excited to play a fresh Classic+ experience. As with the recent lawsuit, the Blizzard legal team has gone after the servers team members rather than just the project itself.
Targeting the team members individually seems to be working to great effect, as these private server teams are systematically “calling it quits” when Blizzard focuses upon them.
Another One Bites the Dust
A third Vanilla WoW private server has been targeted and has officially closed its doors. While these private servers have always received Cease-and-Desist letters from Activision Blizzard’s legal team, they typically choose to ignore them and remain online. With the recent lawsuit, many of these private servers are simply choosing to close up shop, hoping to avoid the legal ramifications

Love or hate them, private servers are the main reason we have Classic servers available from Blizzard today. How many more will we see closing down in the coming weeks as official Classic+ servers are being developed?
Blizzard Entertainment vs. Turtle WoW – Summons Issued
The previously mentioned lawsuit against Turtle WoW (a Classic+ Private server) has also moved forward, with summons being issued to the parties involved.

Blizzard continues to combat these private servers, with all Classic+ servers currently in their sight as they continue to develop their own version of the game.
