Neverness to Everness Bond System

If you finished your main story, you completed your exploration, and you finally bought that really cool house in Neverness to Everness, you might wonder how you can get your characters to move in with you. When you start building relationships in Neverness to Everness, you notice pretty fast that the Bond system takes a long time to max out.

Now, a player made a breakdown where they highlighted the most efficient gifts and realistic timelines to reach Bond level 10, and yes, it will still take you a lot of time, but not as much as if you keep gifting random items to your characters.

Bond Progress Takes Longer Than You Think

To fully max out a character, you need around 56,000 affinity, and those are mainly gained through daily gifting. However, you can only give 10 gifts per character, per day, so that limits things a little bit.

It also means that your progression speed is mostly linked to what you give, not just how often you log in or answer text messages.

Best Gifts Make a Huge Time Difference

According to the data, using the optimal high-value gifts changes how long it takes:

  • ~6 months with items that give 100 affinity
  • ~3 months with items that give 200 affinity
  • ~1.5 months with tems that give 400 affinity

So if you are casually gifting random items, you are likely doubling, or even quadrupling, your grind time right now.

And if you pulled for Nanally, you should know that she is currently the most expensive character to max, with players recommending Fluffy Cotton as her most efficient gift.

Most Cost Efficient Gifts

As mentioned, this was all put together by one player, nte_update, who shared everything on Twitter/X.

On the original post, you can find multiple tables like this one:

If you get all the items that reward 400 Affinity on each character, you can get it all done in under 2 months, but it will cost you a lot of Fons per character. So, unless you have the time to grind that much, you might want to settle for lower-tier items. However, this means you will take more time.

This second table details what it will cost you if you take the cheapest options for 100 Affinity per character. As you can see, you will spend fewer Fons, but you will also take much longer to level up their bonds.

You Should Level up Your Bonds

Bond levels are not just cosmetic. As you progress, you unlock:

  • New interactions (like car rides, hugs, and dates)
  • Extra dialogue and character moments
  • The Home Time system, letting characters move into your apartment
  • Up to 80 Annulith per character through bond rewards

Keep in mind that none of these rewards are time-gated, so if you do not mind taking your time with it, you can totally do so. However, for those who want to get the most out of it early, you should definitely focus on farming Fons and buying the 400 Affinity gifts, as they make a real difference in how long you need to max all your affinity.

And right now, most players are probably progressing a lot slower than they need to, just because they are using the wrong items.
