Just one day after launch, Neverness to Everness has already received its first hotfix. The developers seem really quick, and they addressed a lot of the early issues reported by players. The update will go live tomorrow, on May 1, at 10:00 (UTC+8), and it will be deployed without any huge game downtime. Just be careful, you might want to log out during that time to avoid lag or disconnections during the rollout.

Early Bugs and Optimization Fixes

This is not a big content update, but it is nice to see that the developers are active and directly trying to fix even the smallest issues that get reported. The patch focuses on fixing bugs, improving localization, and resolving several quest-related blockers that could stop your progression.

The full Hotfix is available on Neverness to Everness’s official social media:

  • Fix an issue where “Social Settings” in the Profile might encounter errors.
  • Add missing English, Japanese, and Korean voiceovers for Aurelia on Android.
  • Optimize localization for several languages.
  • Optimize the gameplay experience for Pink Paws Heist and improve the production efficiency of Paw-Paw Coins.
  • Fix data errors for certain furniture items.
  • Fix an issue where Jiuyuan could not trigger Basic Attack: Info-Guided Arts in certain scenes.
  • Fix a potential NPC spawning error during the task “Go to the Bureau of Anomaly Control” in Episodes: A Research in Scarlet.
  • Fix an issue where the quest marker might disappear during the quest “Dolores bestowed life upon the Puppets” in Episodes: A Research in Scarlet.
  • Fix an issue where the Spinoff Quest “Tomato Jelly Rampage: Live Report!” could not be accepted even when requirements were met.
  • Fix an issue where the Ultimate could not be cast during the quest “Track the Tomato Devil” in the Spinoff Quest “Tomato Jelly Rampage: Live Report!”.
  • Fix a progression blocker in the quest “As Expected?” within the Spinoff Quest “A Legendary(?) Band’s First Page”.
  • Fix an issue where subsequent quests failed to trigger after completing the tutorial quest “Sales Pitch or Scam?”
  • Fix occasional game crashes occurring under specific conditions.
  • Fix a UI overlapping issue on the Arc interface.
  • Fix a selection error in the Message interface when using a controller.
  • Adjust the photo mode button mapping for controllers.
  • Fix an issue where prices were incorrectly displayed in USD when opening the Mall for the first time on PC.
  • Fix an issue with camera jitter when driving down steep slopes on PlayStation 5.
  • Fix other known issues.

There are also some gameplay-related changes, including adjustments to the Pink Paws Heist mode and improvements to the currency you get that is linked to it. Nothing that overall changes how the game works or plays, but that was really needed.

More Fixes Are Coming

As always, more patches are almost certainly coming soon, especially as we all progress more into content and uncover additional bugs or problems.

For now, if you ran into quest bugs, UI glitches, or crashes at launch, it is worth logging back in and checking again. It might have been fixed already, and you can continue to play.
