Neverness to Everness is now available for pre-order on PlayStation 5, but like many free-to-play releases on consoles, it comes with a small addition compared to other platforms. Instead of a traditional pre-load or free pre-registration, you can purchase a $9.99 / €9.99 pre-order pack ahead of the game’s launch on April 29, 2026.

To celebrate the opening of the pre-orders, Jiuyuan’s Character trailer was released as well:

What Is Included in the PS5 Pre-Order Pack

It is important to note that the bundle does not grant early access or exclusive gameplay features, the game will still be free-to-play for everyone at launch. However, it does include a few in-game items that might give you a small head start at the beginning of the game:

  • Fabricated Dice ×5
  • De-noise Solution ×10
  • Elite Hunter Guide ×10
  • Chaotic Dye ×10
  • Manhole Boss ×10
  • Beetle Coin ×100,000

Basically, it is a starter resource bundle that is here to give you a bit of a boost when you begin your journey in Hethereau. This bundle is only available for PlayStation 5. For those who play on PC or mobile, there is none, at least for the time being.

A Familiar PlayStation Approach

The offer itself is definitely not unusual, but the move still raises some eyebrows. On consoles (not just PlayStation, Xbox usually does the same thing), pre-orders for free-to-play games often take the form of paid packs like this, rather than a simple free registration like on mobile or PC.

That means PS5 players who want to basically have the possibility to pre-load at the same time as everyone else are essentially paying for that and a few bonus items, not actual early access, even though the game itself remains free at launch.

Mixed Reactions From Players

Unsurprisingly, this approach tends to split opinion.

Some players see it as an optional way to get extra resources early on, especially if they already plan to invest time into the game. Others, however, are not big fans of the idea of paying up front for what is effectively a free title.

In practice, though, nothing here is mandatory. You will not miss out on the game itself by skipping the pack, and the bonuses are more of a head start than anything essential. It will not make any game-breaking change.

Neverness to Everness officially launches on April 29, 2026, and will be fully free-to-play across all platforms, including PlayStation 5, so do not feel like you have to pay for anything. You still get access at the same time once the game launches.

The pre-order pack is simply an optional purchase for those who want a few extra resources on day one, nothing more, nothing less.
