New World’s launch of Season 10 has brought back tens of thousands of players back to the game, and the overall grind to the new best gear has officially begun! Just like every other MMO out there though, the grind gets quite a bit easier if you have a ton of gold in your pocket.
There are multiple unique new ways players can make some quick and easy gold in New World, ranging from playing the market, doing certain daily activities, farming certain resources, and much more!
The video below highlights the best ways to make gold in New World. Each of these methods are highlighted more in-depth below.
Method #1: Play the Market
One of the best ways to make gold in New World is simply playing the market. The best way to do this is through Buy Orders. When placing a buy order on the Trading Post, you are essentially telling other players that you will be a specific item for a certain price. If they agree to sell the item at the price you listed, they have the option to sell it to you directly, where that item would then be stored within your Storage.
Most of the time Buy Orders are lower than the current selling price for items, allowing you the opportunity to potentially buy items through buy orders, and then reposting them at the current selling price and make profit!
By identifying the largest gaps between buy order prices and sell prices for items, and buying and selling those items at scale, players can quickly make hundreds of thousands of gold.
Just be careful – sometimes the market doesn’t play nice back, so be sure to try to sell quickly to make a quick profit!
Method #2: Farming Ancient Glob of Ectoplasm
The launch of season 10 came with a handful of changes, including enhancing the defensive power of all runeglass gems in the game. By looking at the key ingredients needed to craft these runeglass gems, you’ll quickly notice than a unique material known as “Ancient Glob of Ectoplasm” is needed.
With the demand of runeglass gems increasing, the demand for these materials also increase, thus increasing its price! Players are quickly realizing this, and world chats across multiple servers are filled with, “x glob”, indicating players are grouping up to quickly kill the mobs that drop this material in order to farm ancient globs as fast as possible.

Method #3: Elite Chest Runs
An elite chest run in New World is when a large raid of players group-up to explore a specific high-level point of interest that is full of elite treasure chests. By going through these zones in large groups, they can quickly defeat any mobs in there way between them and the chest.
The launch of Season 10 introduced a handful of new items that are contained within these chests, including Perk Charms. These are tradeable items that allow players to place a certain perk type on a piece of gear – and they’re typically pretty valuable.
By maximizing the amount of luck your character has, you increase your chances of finding Perk Charms in these chests, providing you with even more gold-making opportunities!
Method #4: Daily Soul Trials
Every day, players will be assigned three randomized soul trials that they can participate in via their “Activities” tab. These are solo-based boss battles that are not that difficult and include a small chance of obtaining a Perk Charm as a reward!
That small chance is enough of a reason to do each of the three every day to make some fast gold!
Method #5: Hunting Chase Items
The last method of making gold fast in New World is hunting for the new chase items that were introduced in Season 10 of New World. To be more specific, there are a handful of new tradeable transmog pieces that drop from certain bosses within the game, as well as new mount skins!
There is less than a 1% chance of getting these types of items though – so it will take a LOT of luck.
