One of the largest updates coming to Season 10 of New World: Aeternum is an all-new endgame zone being added to the game called Nighthaven. Nighthaven will be located southwest of Brimstone Sands and looks to be easily one of the largest territories on the map.
AGS recently shared an image of the full Nighthaven map below. By overlaying that image on top of the existing map, we can see how it looks when compared to other existing territories in the map (image sourced from Reddit).
Based on the image itself, we can see that a war camp will be located near the southern border of Nighthaven, making it not only a territory that will have a new fort (and potential fort bonus), but also a territory that will have housing.
It’s highly expected that the most competitive PvP companies within each server will likely fight for ownership of this new territory as soon as possible – so be sure to grind out quickly and get your gear ready for war!
The Story of Nighthaven
The lore behind Nighthaven is an interesting one. This zone is known to be ruled by its domineering king with an ill-tempered fist. The population in this territory serve the crown – gutted by unfair taxation and the horrors of the dimly lit woods throughout it.
The currency within Nighthaven is not just gold and wheat, but nightmares, dreams, and memories that fade to wisps. Charms, totems, and talismans guard the doorframes of every villager, patient for the relieving chime of a bell’s new day. For there are secrets, darker than the imagination, that lurk behind the corner of your eye.
There are multiple aged, tall structures throughout the lands, including a castle, the grand carnival, the clocktower, and more.
As you begin to explore Nighthaven, be sure to stay aware of your surroundings, as there are dark secrets and threats that fill the forests.
