Season 10 has a long list of major updates coming to the game. One of the most notable changes coming to the game includes the max level increase from level 65 to level 70. Additionally, there will likely be some updates to existing systems in the game – potentially ranging from new items available in the Faction Shop to ultra powerful gear popping up in the PvP rewards track.
To help you better prepare for day 1 of Season 10, we’ve prepared a few tips below on how to set up your character prior to Season 10 so that you log in ahead of the curve and ready to go.
For full details, watch the video below. Otherwise, continue scrolling to access each of the highlighted tips!
Tip #1: Stack Completed Quests
Chances are you have not completed every single quest in New World: Aeternum. To be honest, it’s actually impossible as there are daily quests that reset each day! With that being said, you can further prepare for the max level increase by completing the objectives for all of these quests but not officially completing them.
Instead, complete the quest itself after the launch of Season 10 so you can quickly (and easily) acquire a large amount of character experience, helping you get closer to the new level 70 cap.
Please note: It will likely be easy to hit level 70 naturally simply by completing the new MSQ that’s coming to the game. If you want to play it safe and level up faster though, consider following this tip.
Tip #2: Prepare Faction Quests & Faction Tokens
At almost every town within New World: Aeternum, there is a Faction Vendor. By speaking with this NPC, you will be able to accept three PvE quests which award you with character experience, faction tokens, and a small amount of gold. Similar to the first tip, you should have a handful of these completed (but not turned in) so that you can acquire a large amount of experience very quickly.
Additionally, the current Faction Token cap is 300,000. It’s best practice to try to get as close as possible to that 300,000 limit, as there’s a small chance that new items may be added to the Faction Shop, allowing you to quickly purchase them early on in your Season 10 adventures.
Tip #3: Grind the PvP Track & Save Azoth Salt
within a recent AGS news post, it was mentioned that “ultra rare sets of gear will be earned from pinnacle endgame content: Isle of Night Raid, Catacombs, and the PvP Track.”
With that being said, it’s best practice to grind out your PvP track as much as possible, and to ensure that you get as close to the max amount of Azoth Salt as possible (current cap is 100,000). Additionally, you should try to purchase every artifact available in the PvP track, which will remove it from the potential rewards, increasing the chances of encountering some of this new, rare gear being introduced in Season 10.
Pro Tip: Be sure to claim as many Azoth Salt Vials as possible as you grind our the PvP track. These allow you to essentially hold more Azoth Salt, even after you reach the 100,000 cap.
Tip #4: New Umbral Shard System Incoming
It’s known that every Tuesday is when the weekly limits within New World: Aeternum are reset. Interestingly, the launch of Season 10 is on October 13, which is a Monday!
This is important as there will be a weekly limit to how many of the new Umbral Shards players can acquire each week, and if this current weekly reset schedule stays consistent with how it always has been, it means that players have the opportunity to get an initially advantage if they can grind out the weekly cap of these new Umbral Shards within that first day!
It’s still not confirmed on how players can acquire these new Umbral Shards but stay tuned as we’ll have more updates on that soon.

Tip #5: Nighthaven Location
Nighthaven is located just southwest of Brimstone Sands – and it’s MASSIVE! If you plan on jumping into this new zone as quickly as possible, consider logging out the night before Season 10 launches right near the southwest border of Brimstone Sands.
This allows you to log in and run right in before it gets too crowded!
Additionally, if you’re company is planning on trying to take ownership of this territory, it will likely be a race to the War Camp (located near the southern border of Nighthaven), where the first person that makes it there will have the opportunity to purchase the territory directly for 100,00 gold.
